(Lyra wasn't quite sure that Luca was her daughter, she did try to stop Luca from escaping, and she waited this long because she wasn't sure about how Luca would react. This seemed like the best opportunity.)

Lyra looked at the picture, and sighed, for an instant looking like she had in the picture.

luca stood up "if you want to go back we can go back." she said not having anymore reason to escape

Lyra
"I need to see if there are any other urchins nearby," Lyra said.

The tentacles scrubbed Dawn well, removing any trace of dirt from her scales.

Dawn relaxed, smiling happily. Then a thought hit her. *Jerry, how are the baby tentacles?*

'There aren't any, remember? The eggs weren't fertilized,' Jerry said telepathically.

*oh, right. How are the eggs?* she replied through her mind.

Jerry
'They're in research. These eggs are perfect for cloning anything, and many times cheaper than synthetic wombs. In fact, one of these eggs is what your brother's mate was born from,' Jerry explained.

Her eyes widened. *seriously? So does that make Nya part tentacle?*

Jerry
'No, because the eggs are a lot like stem cells. They can become anything.' Jerry said.
