He didn't respond. He'd never been able to hear what it was like from a horse that was once possessed by a demon before, probably because none of them ever survived.

Loki kept pace with Ghost and as if reading his thoughts, I'm sure at least one has.

Loki sighs, If a tame horse can escape into the wild a wild one can throw off a demon.

I look up from my cat, who is panicking from all of the movement, and I realize I'm completely alone. No demon horse, no Desta, Victoria, no Maverick, just me and Jax, alone on unfamiliar land. I begin to panic, my breaths shortening.

Ghost tossed his head. Once the infected horse bites another one, the infected one has been worked to its max and dies. The new infected horse now becomes the demon's host.

Desta looks around and tells Mav, "I think we lost Vinilla."

Loki takes a nervous half step, I didn't know that.

Maverick looked around. He couldn't see Victoria, Ghost, or Loki, either. "So much for sticking together, huh?" He couldn't see the demon horse, either, which means that it was chasing the others. He had to find them.

Victoria was too busy keeping her head buried in Ghost's fur to notice that she was alone...

Ghost didn't reply

Loki looks around for the others, We have to go find the others or wait for them to find us.

Desta nervously looks around, "I hope they're okay."

We can't. Look. Behind them, the demon horse still perused them.

Which means, good for Vanilla and Jax, they were off the hook for now.

"Yeah..." Mav said, telling Val to try and find the others
