Cricket shrugs awkwardly. He nudges the man and swings his head towards Vulpes' daughter as well as Arien.

The man notices, "You're lonely huh? Well you've been good so I suppose I can convince the boss to let me try. I can't risk putting you with your pal though because you two might fight."
At that the man rubs Cricket's nose before walking away.

"That's a start. A nice one too, I suppose."
He looks over at Arien.
"Why is it you have followed, anyways, Arien?"

The Zephar herd is currently in the mountains.
Whirlwind walks up to the herd, "The leaders from the other herds and I have spoken this threat is too dangerous to ignore. When winter ends I fear that the intruders from those large chucks of wood and wind will find us here so we have decided to send explorers of our own. I have observed all of you and decided Dove will be the one to go and learn find a new place for us to live or learn about the intruders. Be careful brave explorer."

Arien sighs, "You look like you needed a friend and I've learned a horse without a herd isn't a horse."

The man comes back after an hour holding a rope, "The boss wants proof that you're calm and gentled already." The man carefully makes a rope bridle and slips it onto Cricket before untying him from the pole, "Follow." The man gently pulls on the bridle.

Dove looks at her leader with a prideful but also nervous look. "I hope to be able to serve our herd well with what I find. When should I leave to explore?"

"I leave that up to you Dove," Whirlwind answers, "I'm sure you will do just fine. Just please be careful and know that other explorers are out there already."

"I'll leave now then and maybe I'll meet an explorer or two on my way." she said before giving goodbyes to her herd and walking towards the woods
