She nodded when he said sapphire, the color of her unusual eyes. Those same eyes widened when the gems came out of nowhere. She took a step back. "Noal did yo- wha- what just.." She stuttered.
"Did you do that?"

"Don't say that! Your just injured is all not useless. You could watch the pups or have your ow-." Anubis stopped himself blushing. "You could tell stories to the young wolves, or even just relax a bit. The others understand that your out for a while. Do you want me to go get Danu? She may be able to help with the pain."

"Y-Yeah... Are you okay? To soon? D-Do you want the opal? I can put it back if you want..." Noal stuttered out. He shook, afraid of her not liking him anymore because of his power. "Please don't tell anyone..." He whispered.

"So that's what the promotion was for. Huh," Squirrel said. "I wasn't the right wolf for the job, my fur stands out against the snow like a moose in a flock of geese," he huffed. "I hope you get your rank back soon. I rather liked border patrol, to be honest," he said, shaking his reddish pelt.

Swordfern looked at Shadow. "After this, I think I'll go see Uru, keep her company, whatchya think?" Shadow shrugged. "Maybe that would be good, it might get you in trouble. Your choice entirely," "Hmph," Swords grunted.

"N-no, I'm just surprised.. that's all." She looked at him "I will not tell anyone." She delicately picked up the opal in her teeth and padded to her den, she hid it beneath some moss in a corner and rushed out. She was getting a little impatient as she howled again, louder this time.

Shadow trotted up to the high rock and sat next to it. It was his job kinda so yeah.

Swordfern sat and waited patiently.

He nodded,"So was my mother, and father, and practically everyone I showed..." Noal's black fur hid that he was blushing,"If you need me, I'm gonna go get everyone for the meeting." He padded off to go find the warriors and hunters,"Hey Swordfern! Shadow! Althea is calling a meeting." He went to the nursery and poked his head in,"Meeting. Be quick."

Ignotia continued his story, his voice soft, "Those complications came in the form of other wolf packs or groups of other animals. They didn't like that we were encroaching on their territory, 'we' being my former pack along with several others we used to share the Upper North with. Some packs accepted us for as long as they could, but they were few and far between. It was a miracle, considering how sparse food was -and still is. Many of our pack died off throughout the journey, some from fighting and others from starvation."

He huffed depreciatively, "It's truly nothing short of a Wonder as to how I survived. If I hadn't had Lunarius to help me, I probably would have been killed off pretty quickly. To lessen the burden on the pack of course. Less mouths to feed means more food to fill a certain number of bellies."

Luanne was close by, but her scent wasn't left at all. She was inside of the pack borders, actually. She was on a rocky out crop, somewhere 30 feet away from the denning area of the pack wolves.
