"Well in that case let's get started!" She said sitting next to him and squinting at the papers "what does that mean?" She asked point info the first row of squiggles

"It's asking for a signature, saying you know the dangers of joining the force." Rhys said sipping his coffee.

"Oh uh I think I can do that." Dee said taking the pen and slowly writing her name the way her mother had taught her when she was young. When she finished she looked at it proudly "and that's about all I can do." She said in an almost laugh

"Hey guys" Ashton said, smiling and handing Rhys his coffee and Dee her latte. "What are those?" She asked, indicating the application papers.

I step away in the direction I think the city is, as I wonder when the journey will start. I admired Jace's protective traits, how he helped us all, not because he cared about us like siblings... But he simply wants us to survive. I find myself smiling, not quite sure what a famous author is, but thinking it must be an honor to be traveling with one if they are all as kind as Jace.

We would walk for about a good hour or two, until we reach a sidewalk, right in front of the building. "This is where we enter." I'd say, before walking up to the window, handing something to the person inside. The toll gate would raise, and i'd gesture April and Rafe to follow me.

I follow obediently, beginning to feel nervous. My fears of the city boiling over, I find myself shaking and hiding behind Jace. I peak over his shoulder to see tall buildings rising, hearing loud roaring of unknown vehicles and the occasional siren. It is all foreign to me, and monstrous to my tribal life-style.

I'd sigh, looking into a store. "This is where we are going right now, the more deeper we go into the city, the more dangerous it get's." I'd sigh, before walking inside. I'd grab food, a lot of it. Mainly vegetables, but some meat are picked up for April. I'd put the money on the desk in front of the cash register. "Unless you guys want to go anywhere else, we should get going. I got what i needed."

"N-no I think I'm good..." I trail off, nodding thanks to Jace. I look around, everything so different. So dark, gray...

Gray
I finish my food and take flight once more. I glide over to the store nearest the border of the city and casually walk in like anybody else. I keep my left wing folded over my arm as if just for looks, and I keep my head down, not making eye contact with the fox or wolf hybrids, or the bunny that accompanies them. I walk through the aisles without care, and begin hiding some food behind my wing that I have folded.
