She sees something walk by. It's human, but also not.


He sees the thing surface again. Closer this time, but too far and for too short a time to see any details.

Drake shutters seriously considering reporting the creature but doesn't. Who would believe him?




Chelsea wonders what was going on tonight or if she was just hallucinating.

The person's face doesn't look human.

The waters go still again.

The next morning Chelsea was at school early. She hides in the library and tries to find a few books about myths in Scottland.



Drake yawns as he walks towards the high school, he hadn't slept at all that night. Partially because of the creature and the kelpie.

There's somebody else in the library. He's on the older side of teen- a senior, maybe? His hair is scarlet and curly, and his eyes are bi-colored brown and blue. Freckles mottle his whole body, especially his face. He's keeping to himself, reading a book about ocean animals. She's seen him around before, always in the library before and after classes, but generally he reads fiction.

Chelsea notices the change but decides not to do anything. She was trying to find something but maybe later she would borrow that book. It might have some answers that she was looking for. After finding a few books Chelsea goes and tries to find a place to read in the library.

As usual, he doesn't notice her. It sometimes feels like he's a ghost not quite in the realm of the living- a car could crash into the school a foot away from him and he'd never react. Yet curiously, he's very attentive when he's not lost in his head. He's a strange guy, to say the least, but he's very nice on the rare occasion he's not off wandering his thoughts.

Chelsea smiles slightly resolving to introduce Rim to him. She knew that the stranger was often lost in his thoughts, but it might still be nice to have him as friend.
