Dusk's fur stood up as the vermin fell, "Where did that come from? Thanks friend." He was scared but this was not going to be his last fight especially with the stranger who hopefully wasn't aiming at him. Noticing the hare Dusk did his best to protect his new ally. It was too soon to say if he was a friend or not.

"It was nothing. Now let's get rid of these guys." Aspen was confident they could win this, but he wasn't foolish enough to continue with anything that mentioned he let the quarry of the vermin stay at his place or point in the direction. He went to bouncing around, trying to keep their attention so Dusk had less to dodge around with the injuries.

Dusk fought with all he had and soon there were no vermin left.
"Let's get out of here before the main patrol comes,'' Dusk warns, "We need to cover our tracks. So what's your name?"

"Aspen. Your friends came to my door and pointed me your direction to help. I'll lead you there as we cover our tracks. How about your name?"

"Im Dusk nice to meet you Aspen. I hope Kate and Benny are alright, I just got them away from being slaves to this vermin hoarde.''

"They're at my place now." Aspen starts leading the way, careful of what he leaves and erasing traces if his presence there as they go.

Dusk carefully follows erasing his trail as he goes, "So do you live around here?"

"Yes, not too far. A decent run. Do you need some food when we get there?"

Dusk nods once, "I would be very grateful for some food. It's been a few days since I've eaten."

"Alrighty, I shall prepare some when we get back." And when they get to Aspen's home, he opens the door. "I have found your friend!"
