"shes out"softfur said as she returned. "alright, you need to push. Softfur find eaglewing or featherpelt."rabbitpaw ordered, softfur nodded and ran off. She followed a scent trail to eagleeong. "eaglewing! We need you in camp, dawnpelt is giving birth"softfur said. Rabbitpaw heard pawsteps. runestar entered. "alright, how far apart are the contractions?"she asked dawnpelt.

"5 to 7 minutes." She said, she gasped as another went through her belly. She tried pushing. She had felt like that a bit all night.

Eagle wing trotted back, holding a stick in her jaw. She had moss too. She gave the stick to Dawnpelt. "Try biting this and concentrate." She said. She ran her paw over Dawnpelt's belly, helping the kit out.

Runestar left, to give her privacy, sitting guard outside was softfur. Rabbitpaw looked down. I never want to have kits. she thought, seeing the pain dawnpelt was currently going through. "what should I do eaglewing?"she asked, wanting to help.

"When will this be over?" She half wailed. She couldn't really stand the pain.
"Soon enough." She told Dawnpelt. Dawnpelt started biting the stick she had brought. Dawnpelt closed her eyes tight. Her belly trembled. "The first one." Whispered Eaglewing. A small bundle slid out from the nest. Dawnpelt was still having contractions. "Rabbitpaw, open the birth sac." She ordered. She opened the first. "She's got more coming. With a heave, another smaller bundle slid out. "Okay, Rabbitpaw, can you do this one?" She asked as she licked the first kit to warmth. "More!" Dawnpelt said, grimacing.

Rabbitpaw hesitated but nodded and carefuly rid of the sack. Licking the kit like eaglewing did to warm it. this is a bit wierd.. she thought, and smiled. "featherclaw is gonna be mad he missed the birth."softfur said glancing at dawnpelt. "two pretty kits."softfur cooed.

((*head desk* *snores*))

"One more!" Eaglewing said. Dawnpelt sighed as the last kit came out. She licked the sac open.
"Water." Dawnpelt muttered.
"I have some soaked moss." Eaglewing said and gave it to the tired Dawnpelt.
The last kit was a tabico. The first two were Tortishells.

Softfur left to find featherclaw. "whats the genders?"rabbitpaw asked. She left and soon came back with water, collected into a shell.

"2 daughters and a son!" Announced Eaglewing. The little kits had wandered to Dawnpelt to feed for milk. "Oh, Featherclaw isn't gonna be too happy about missing this." Eaglewing meowed. Dawnpelt had drank up all the water in the moss and lapped the water from the shell. "Thank you." She meowed to everyone.
"Dawnpelt, you should rest." Encouraged Eaglewing. "You'll want your milk to be good for the kits."

Featherclaw raced back to the clan, holding a freshly killed mouse and a hare in his jaws. "Must...see...Dawnpelt!" He said and burst into camp.

"your a bit too late"softfur said, seeing the tom in a rush. Rabbitpaw nodded. "your welcome dawnpelt. Tonight is your ceremony, new mothers get the flower ceremony."rabbitpaw said. "if you need me, call for me."rabbitpaw said, vanishing into the nurses den, which was connected to the nursery.

Softfur went out, to get some prey. She froze hearing mews and loud hissing. She followed it and spotted a thin shecat with 2 kits. A fox was attacking. Her eyes widened as the shecat was bit. She lunged forward, attacking the badger till it ran off. She grabbed the kits and ran into camp. She halted setting the two in the medcats den. "eaglewing!"she yowled, looking at the pair worriedly. They looked sick, sneezing every now and then. They were skinny and seemed old enough to eat solid food. She checked for fleas, ticks and other pests. She found none.

"Wha-? No one told me?" He complained. "Is-" He was cut off by Eaglewing who nearly crashed into him.

Eaglewing ran out of the medicine cats' den and spotted Softfur and the two Kits. "What happened? Where's the mother?" She asked.

Dawnpelt nodded. "Tonight." She said. She heard something outside and Eaglewing rushing outside. She was confused...
