"are you ok? my car is just around the corner i can take you to the doctor if you need" i say, giving him a concerned look. is this a side affect of the bright light? is something with his ears changing? or did he just hear a loud noise and i'm overreacting? i might be overreacting.

"No thanks I'll be fine." I put on my hat to cover my ears. "Other then the light, how was ur day Ma'am?"

"nothing else has really happened yet, i just woke up and made some coffee and got ready to go to school" i say, rubbing the back of my head. todays class was optional, i'm sure my professor won't mind if i miss one class...

"Ye just be careful u dont wanna get in trouble." I say smiling shyly

"i'm sure my professor won't mind, i mean it's just an optional college class it's not like i need it" i say, waving my hand. i hope she wont mind, at least. it will be fine. "so, uh, want to walk together or...?" i trail off. there really isn't anything else for me to do, i don't really feel like being alone with my thoughts right now.

"Ofc we can walk together Ma'am."

"thanks" i say, giving him a smile as i begin walking next to him. it's hard to pry my thoughts away from the blinding light, but i do my best, asking the man the normal things such as what is your name, what do you do for a living, all the stuff one would ask someone they just met.

"Ma'am I like u, u seem nice. I was wondering if u would like to grab a drink with me some day." I ask Shyly with a low shaky voice.

"sure" i say, dropping my now empty coffee in the trashcan as we pass it. last time the bright light went off, there was about a twelve hour window where things happened, like for me it was two hours after the light happened that i got my ears. so, i'll take a day off, hang out with this nice guy, and if everything i fine tomorrow i'll move on with my life and never think about it again.

"Ok text me bout where u would like to go and what time u wanna meet. I'll let u pick so we can go some where u like." I smile as my tail wags a little.
