by the time mrs brevard enters the classroom, most of the students have already started their assignment. she spots me watching netflix, but doesn't say anything about it. she knows i'm already done- as usual. which means i have 50 minutes to watch netflix and drink coffee. good, i need some free time.

after first period lets out, i decide to head over to the dorms, where the counselor -Mrs. Munk- is yelling out who will be roommates with who. this is always fun to watch, because there's always a lot of moaning and groaning from people who don't get rooms with their friends.

"mazuko? no mazuku! mazuku keiko you are in room 11 with Harriet Aether" Mrs. Munk calls out, looking around for one of the people whos names she called out. upon spotting one of them -a girl with brown hair that covers her eyes- she hands her a paper. "here is a map of your building and if you turn it over there's a map of the paths to your building, too" she says, before looking back at her paper.


"ok, next is Beau Haynes and Jordyn Standish" she calls out, spotting the two standing relatively close together she grabs both of them by the shoulder and moves them closer together "you tow are roommates in room 15, that's on the second floor" she says, handing them the same map she gave the other two.

"ok, Felix Jade and Shane Silence, where are you?" she asks, spotting them both hiding from the bright sun in the entrance to the parking garage. "ok you have room 0, if you go down through the parking lot you'll find a door near the elevators, thats where your dorms are. it starts at room ten so you'll be at the very far side. it's a long walk, sorry" she says, thrusting a map into the vampires hands.

" Noeul Bean and Lex Bean, congratulations you are dorm mates in room 13, which is at the very top of the building. don't worry, the windows are already open and there is an elevator if you don't want to fly" she cheers, trusting a map into the closest angels hands- a girls with large albatross wings that take up a lot of space.

sipping my coffee i watch as all the students begin to disperse, finding their roommates and introducing themselves. this ought to be interesting.

watching everyone get to their rooms is boring! last year people immediately started gossiping and that was fun! i promise i'm a good person. i might actually have to talk to someone for good gossip. i think i'll start in the angels dorms, near the top of the building, and work my way down. not only would that be most effective, i also want to start with the angels because they are flying up and down this building, and passing a bunch of people. people who are talking.

thanking whatever higher power there might be for elevators, i step in, clicking the button for the top floor. when i reach the floor i notice a particularly clumsy angel trying really hard not to bump into anyone, before disappearing into one of the dorms.

i approach the door, knocking on it lightly. when i don't get an answer i assume the angel didn't hear me and knock again, this time slightly louder. "hello?"

"hi!" i say, giving her a small wave with my free hand "my name is arabella, I'm one of the students here! i just wanted to introduce myself and see if you needed help with anything? I've been here since 9th grade so i know where everything is" i wave my hand dismissively, glancing around her and into her room. "so do you need help un packing anything or..?"

I finally find my new dorm room but then i see someone at my dorm door looks like shes talking to my roomate
i wait till she leaves so i dont have to talk then i phase into the room and notice how bright it is wow i say quietly i cant belive how bright it is in her their is almost no dark places ...... should i say hi to my roomate she is pretty but i dont think i can do it puting my bag of stuff on the bed i start to unpack i dont think she knows im here sighing with relief but then i here a yelp i think i scared her opps ....

Jordyn Standish
Jordyn jumps when his names is called and he gets shoved against another being. He had already been hopping in place, so the little jump went by unnoticed. He backs away from Beau slightly when Mrs. Munk lets go of him.
"Hiya, howdy, hi, hi. Nice to meet you." Jordyn chirps, smiling. Ramen is wrapped loosely around his neck, watching Beau. "And I'm Jordyn Standish, at yer service." Jordyn does a little skip before taking a dramatic stage bow and grins at Beau. Ramen seems to be completely used to this energetic child and the sudden changes in position that came almost in rapid succession, seemingly in sync with the changing of his accent and slight modifications in mood.
Ramen moves to wrap around Jordyn's wrist when he offers it to her. "I'm sorry. I can be a bit... eccentric?" Jordyn apologizes, calming down for a few seconds and resuming his simple hopping in place. "A'ight, let's go..." Jordyn bites his tongue before he could potentially get more on someone's nerves, whether Beau's or another student or teachers.

Felix Jade
Felix looks at the vampire he is now roommates with and sighs. At least Felix isn't stuck with the chatty witch he had run into earlier. He takes the map from the vampire when it is offered to him. Felix nods in understanding when the vampire gives him the small rules of the dorm; Felix didn't mind, it sounded just fine to him. Felix had a few questions for the vampire seeing as he hadn't met one before.

Lex Bean
Lex Bean thanks Mrs. Munk for the map even though she knew the campus well thanks to her brief fly around before school had started. Her wings are folded, but even then, they are big, heavy, and a weight she didn't enjoy until she is flying, when the strong wings would keep her in the air.

Noeul Bean
Lex takes her brother's hand and takes off to their dorm. He struggles to adjust to the sudden take off, but he manages. Lex lands in their dorm and unpacks quickly, taking time to make room for her wings. The two don't speak, comfortable with the friendly silence between them. The two grab a snack from their packs and take off again, planning on taking a short flight around the campus once more.

Shane Silence
"I already know the campus. Just letting you know, I have mostly night classes, so if you wouldn't mind keeping any daytime parties you may host in our dorm to the quietest. I won't bother you unless you want me to. Um, I believe that's all I have to say. Good luck." Shane says, running a hand through his fiery red hair and standing.
Felix follows him and asks him a few questions about vampires, all of which Shane answers. He doesn't have any reason to keep them from the lycan, so to do so would be pointless and possibly get an annoyed roommate.

"hi there!" i say, waving at the shaed behind the rather spooked angel. "if it's too bright for you, theres a dimmer by the door way, all the dorms have them instead of light switches because it's just better" i explain, reaching around the angel and turning the lights down.

"i was just introducing myself to your roommate! do you need help unpacking or anything?" i ask, extending the same offer to him as i did to the angel.
