Rose parks her motorbike not far from Asher. "Hey, wait up!!" she shouts as she runs up to him. "You didn't really think I was going to let him send you off into the woods without me, did ya?" She smiles at the boy, wishing she could tell him the truth about her without worrying he would be scared of her or that he would tell his father. "You good? You're favoring your ankle... I'm half sure he didn't really mean break a leg... Err, I, uh, mean, I'm, uh, guessing he, *clears throat* uh, said something along those lines..." She scuffs the ground with her shoe nervously hoping she didn't give away her secret. Smiles at Asher with a subconscious shrug and look down.

Crimson continues drawing for quite some more time before the others get bored and want to go for a hunt. She smiles and rolls her eyes in amusement before nodding. The wolves separate to undress and change into their wolf forms. After they have all changed Crimson leads them closer to the border to a good spot for hunting deer. Just a mile or two from the border with the Orenda Pack. This spot is special to this little group being that are the only ones who know about it. They often hunt near here but only for smaller prey. With a long day of hanging out and messing around planned they decided to hunt a couple of deer.

Dean runs along side Crimson and happily lets her take point on the hunt because she is the best of them at hunting. When she leads he can see the Alpha blood in her at work. He knows she will be an amazing leader. She is kind to her people and protects them no matter what. She may play cold and heartless to many but if she trust someone there is so much more to her. If only she could see is too... Dean's attention snaps back to the hunt when Caleb and Conner nip his heels because he almost ran into a tree. After not noticing he had already tripped over its roots and hadn't heard Crimson call him in their pack mindlink, that had been temporarily changed to only include their current group. He shook out his fur and tipped his head in apology. If wolves could blush he would have given Crimson a run for her name.

Caleb and Connor were happily flanking Dean who running a little bit behind Crimson. When he didn't hear Crimson's warning and tripped over the roots they fell back behind him. When he was about to run into a tree and still wasn't hearing Crimson and the others calls, they dove in and bit his ankles to snap him out of his head. They gave him wolfish grins when he was embarrassed and Crimson was asking if he was okay to hunt. 'Lovesick puppy' was the message sent between the twins with merely a look shared.

Mia and Jax ran at the back of the hunting group weaving around each other in a playful game until Crimson found the scent of a small group of deer. They stopped their game and followed Crimson's request to move to the front of the group to break off. After they broke off they followed her request to follow alongside the deer and prepare to cut them off.

Nazar and Naven stayed at the back of the group after Mia and Jax broke off to watch the backs of the hunting party. While Shadow moved up to the front to help lead the attack on the deer.

The group of hunting wolves attack the group of deer and chase after the two stragglers who are headed toward the border. The smell of the wounded deer cover up the scent of the border as Shadow and Caleb accidently cross it. The others, who had noticed, stopped on the Borealis side of the border at a complete halt. Crimson orders the others to stay on Borealis territory and goes to fetch the two wolves and the last deer. The other deer was not far behind the wolves on Borealis territory, already dead.

"Hey!" Crimson whisper yells through the mindlink, "Get back here! You went past the border, grab the deer and lets go. It isn't safe here." Any other time, she wouldn't have cared about the deer but, she knew it had been months since her group's last decent meal. Lila had been in a very bad mood and had taken it out on Crimson's friends and some other wolves in the pack. "Come on!" she shouts through the mindlink, seeing images of other wolves coming. Her visions blinding her to the present events and her senses' warning of said wolves. As Shadow gets to the border, Naven and Navar pull her and the deer roughly to their side. Caleb stands next to Crimson, pawing her face and nudging her, tryingto get her to the border. But, she is overwhelmed by her powers, her visions blinding her senses. Caleb panics as he hears other wolves coming, on the Orenda side of the border. He calls out to the others of Crimson's group through the mindlink. They hide the deer under some bushes and hide themselves near the border, waiting to see what happens,

Asher hums in surprise when Rose parked her motorbike next to him. He hadn't expected anyone to come after him. So, in response to her question about Trapper sending him off all by himself without Rose coming after, his silence spoke volumes. He smiles, very glad that she is here with him because, even though he may not show it, he is anxious about the almost impossible quest his father had sent him on. He wouldn't tell his father if he learned, he hated his father's business.
"I'm fine; I'll live. Good guess; you've always had a knack for that. I wish I did since it would have saved me a lot of trouble when in meetings. You think he'll come back to make sure I'm doing a job well done?" Asher mumbles the last part, already thinking about abandoning the job he has been given and finding something else to do without raising his father's suspicions. He brushes by Rose to continue on the path to wherever they were heading, giving her a playful bump to lift her spirits in that naive human way he had.

Jayden and Coco were having a friendly quip battle. The two were jogging in the front of the group, obviously enjoying themselves. However, the small play between them and the fast pace didn't keep them from being alert and paying attention to their surroundings.
The sounds of a hunt drew their attention and the mental chatter between them instantly died down. Coco sniffs the air, her hackles rising. 'Borealis wolves.' Jayden and her hiss at the same time. Jayden crouched and approached, observing the wolf sitting duck in plain sight. His eyes narrow and the hair on the back of his neck rise.
"Borealis wolf." He snarls, his voice taking an eerie low and hollow sound to it. Without alerting Coco of his actions, he sprang at Crimson, intent on taking her down.
Coco is forced to head after him to make sure he didn't kill himself. She keeps an eye on the Borealis wolves hidden on their side of the border. "JayJay, let her go." Coco barks forcefully at him.
Jayden slams into Crimson and pins her to the ground as he begins to take aim with the gun Coco had given him earlier. He isn't listening to Coco, completely focused on taking her out. "Never." He snarls when Coco orders him again to let her go.

Rose smiles at his naiveness and follows him. "I can try to help you learn to read people..." she says slowly trying to think of how to explain it in a way that would make sense to him, "I don't care what he does... He can go curl up and die..." she says angrily thinking of the wolves he has killed without a second thought or sent to their death. Suddenly she cringes, gasps, and bends over as she hears Caleb's distress call and his terror. Her wolf nearing the front, pain flooding her body as she fights her wolf.

Crimson feels her body hit the ground but is unable to respond due to her body's exhaustion from a rough night, a severe case of malnourishment, and her rampaging powers. She panics as her powers overrule her ability to react. Her breathing becomes rough as some blood fills her lungs.

Caleb gets up after being knocked to the side when Crimson was hit and charges her attacker while calling the others into action. The others dart out of their hiding spots and circle around on the opposite side from the Orenda wolves. Snarling and snapping, warning them to back away from their pack members. Conner changes into human form, trusting his packmates to protect him. In human form he stands up, wobbling some not caring his thin bony frame is fully visible. Hands up in a show of peace he shouts. "Stop! Leaving them alone! It was an accident! Caleb and Shadow weren't paying attention. They didn't meant to trespass. Crimson just went to get them..." hoping to save his brother and the girl he viewed as their mother.

Asher nods eagerly when Rose offers to teach him how to read people. "Yes, please!" He beams. He chuckles and agrees with Rose with the punishment suited for Trapper, but his moment of aloofness is abruptly brought to an end when Rose doubles over. "Rose? Rose, are you alright?" Asher asks, instantly by her side and helping her keep herself up by wrapping an arm around her. His worry for his friend is evident on his face. He rambles through a few things he is willing to do to help Rose, anything to help her, feel better.

Coco goes to aid the Borealis pack in getting their wolf back. Jayden tosses her out of his way as he aims his gun once more, this time at the wolves that are standing at the ready. "It wasn't an accident when you killed my sister." Jayden growls, his eyes blazing as he looks over the wolves, looking over the wolves in front of him to see if the culprit of the act is there.
"Jayden! What are you doing?" Jezz's voice interrupted Jayden's focus and froze him in place. His finger hovers over the trigger as he turns to face the red wolf stalking up to him.
"What does it look like? I'm going to end them. They're trespassing." Jayden says, the edge to his voice slowly dispersing. He still has his gun up and aimed, loaded and ready for action, but he hasn't gone to fire it.
"It doesn't look like that to me. I see a wolf blatantly ignoring a direct order." Jezz claims, sitting down peacefully to see how Jayden would react, already knowing what he'd do. Jayden glances between the wolves and Jezz once, fighting an inner battle. He really wanted to kill the Borealis wolves even if they weren't the ones who had killed his sister, but they were one in the same with the one who did. However, he didn't want to get kicked out of his pack and he didn't want to give Jezz another excuse to get him out.
Jayden lowers his gun.
He stands and backs up to allow the Borealis wolves to collect their pack mate. "I hate you, Jezz. You do know that?" Jayden says bitterly as he takes the unused bullets out of the gun and returns it to its case.
"Mhm. I hate you, too." Jezz's cold blue eyes never leave Jayden's face.

Rose shakes her head as she feels Conner pull on trusted wolves like her for strength to sped up his change, as he is very malnourished. "I'm fine," she forces out through clenched teeth, "Just give me a second". She struggles to slow her breathing after her breathing is stable she stands up straight and grimaces. "I'm good now..." she says to comfort him, unsure whether or not it is the truth. 'Maybe I should tell him the truth. I should go see what is wrong with Conner, Caleb, and the others...' She frowns and tries to reach the others through the mindlink. She exhales in annoyance when they don't respond.

Caleb rushes to Crimson's side and Conner moves to stand beside him, knowing he doesn't have the strength to change back on his own and his trusted packmates don't have the strength to help him if they are to get back to their spot for safety. "Crim, Crimson come on. Snap out of it," Caleb whispers in her ear, "Come on we have to go... Lila is going to suspect something soon if we aren't back soon..." Conner looks toward Dean and Shadow and uses the mindlink to ask them to carry her. Dean and Shadow stand beside Crimson. Nazar and Naven go to pick her up so Dean and Shadow can carry her back.

Crimson heard what Jayden said and felt the pain and guilt hit again like a train. She pulled on her remaining strength and that of Kitsune to change forms. She ignored her group's protests and stood as straight as she could. "It was an accident. We never planned for casualties, no one was supposed to die. I was going to stay to try to save her but, our, my Luna gave the order to fall back and retreat. I didn't know she would use the girl as a living shield for the retreat. She planned ditch the girl's body in the bog by the decreasing river. I was able to convince her to leave the body at the border. I know my apology doesn't mean anything to you but I am sorry. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't regret your sister death." she told him so he would know that it wasn't her pack's fault, it was hers, "I dealt the blow that killed her. I killed your sister. Not my pack. Me, alone. Let them leave, they did nothing wrong."

Asher stays by her side and doesn't look quite convinced when she says she's fine. He backs off, though, knowing enough to not get in someone's way and push them on when they don't want to say or do something. Asher breathes a sigh with Rose, letting go of a breath he hadn't known he had been holding. "Ok... You're good." He repeats, mostly to calm himself down. That doesn't keep him from still keeping close so that if anything happened to Rose, he would be right there to help.

He glances around and stuffs his hands in his jacket pockets. "You wouldn't know where to start to look for food or perhaps someplace with shelter. I'm thinking of abandoning the job my father gave me. Didn't give me any instructions or anything other than to find the packs. I'm not feeling too inclined to do that at the moment seeing as he left me with nothing - my backpack is still in the car." Asher says, holding his breath again when he realizes that he had left his backpack, which had had everything needed for a week's worth of a camping trip. "Eh, yeah, not feeling too inclined to help him after he so generously aided me."

Coco picks herself up from where Jayden had tossed her. Her head buzzed and her feet and side ached. She takes a deep breath and turns into her human form as Jayden approaches her to hand her the gun she had asked for earlier to keep him from shooting again. She straps the gun back to her side, feeling more comfortable with it near her. She hasn't really payed any attention to what the Borealis wolves were saying until Jayden's sister is brought up. Instantly, Coco places her hands over the teen's ears as he straightens at the news. "You heard none of that, Jayden. Nothing was said." Coco pleads quietly, pulling his head close to hers so she could whisper to him. Jayden pulls away and turns to Crimson, his face and thoughts rather blank until one word takes hold.

Kill. Kill. Kill! Kill them all!
Jayden snarls and launches himself at Crimson, turning into his wolf form midleap. He bats Caleb and Conner aside with paws, claws permanently extended. He doesn't seem to think as he attacks. He didn't care who he hurt as long as he finished the fight and killed the one who had killed his sister. Jezz knocked Jayden aside before he could do any serious damage, her claws sinking into his flank. Coco barks at Jezz to back away from her patrol wolf, demanding that she let her give the punishment and for her to not get in the way. Jezz slowly backs off of the snarling Jayden.

"Let me go! I need to kill them. Release me this instant, coward, and face me if you dare!" Jayden hops to his paws and shakes out his fur when Jezz gets off him. He only stops a moment before racing to end what was started.

Rose thought about what to tell him and how to ask her next question when the panicked thoughts of her friends crash into her head. "Damnit," she curses ask the pain returns as her wolf fights to save their packmates, "I," she snarls, "I have something to, um, tell you..." She sighs as her wolf claws its way toward the front, her skin crawling as it tries to shift, "I'm, not, entirely human... I'm half wolf and I may be, I am about to loss control and shift because some wolf friends of mine are in danger and my wolf is convinced I can help them. I'm not sure I can though but I can't fight her forever." And with that her wolf wins and her body shifts into her wolf form. Her wolf shakes out its fur and tips its head back and howls. It looks toward Asher and tips its head to the side and gives him a wolfish grin and bow before running into the woods toward the Borealis wolves.

Caleb shouts and turn to Connor who is now bleeding from deep scratches on his chest and applies pressure to the wounds best he can in wolf form. The Borealis wolves move to block the Orenda wolves from getting any closer to their wounded packmates. Crimson kneels on all fours struggling to stay awake as her body starts to shut down from months of heavy damage. When Jayden charges again she drops to the ground as he goes over her, she kicks in the stomach hard. Navar and Naven move in to block Jayden as Dean helps her to the border. Shadow and Mia help Caleb get Conner on their side of the border. Once all the Borealis wolves are their side a howl is heard from the Borealis Pack territory. Out of the woods rush the Borealis pack in full force at the border, Lila at the lead.

Lila had felt and heard the last few mindlink calls. She had decided that it was required of her to protect the pack territory. The wolves snarled at the border with Crimson's group behind them. Lila, fully dressed in human form, stands on the border's line between the two pack's territories. "My stepdaughter made a huge mistake in judgement. I will ensure she receives the proper punishment. Forgive her insulative behavior she will see the errors in way, trust me."

As soon as Crimson heard the word "punishment" out of Lila's mouth she flinched, hard. She was really going to pay for this. Even more than if she had done it alone, she would not allow her packmates to be hurt for her mistake. She heard Rose coming and quickly warned her to turn around 'Turn Around!'. Lila believed she was dead and it was best that it stayed that way.

Rose's wolf turned around at Crimson's order and headed back the way she came. Rose slowly regained control as they ran back. Her mind swimming with the struggle against her wolf. She was exhausted mentally and physically.

Asher gives Rose his attention as he does to his friends. At first it is hard to piece it together with the pauses, but the sudden transformation puts the pieces together. "Oh." Asher says quietly when Rose - or her wolf, or whatever he is supposed to call it - dashes off. He attempts to follow her, but he can't keep up, especially not with a busted ankle. He still tries and follow her but then he has to come to the fact that he is horribly lost. He sits down and waits for Rose to find him. She seems to know the forest and surrounding territory better than he. Hopefully he had gone in the right direction and Rose would come for him. Asher puts his head on his knees, which he had pulled up to his chest. He perks up when he hears someone coming, however he isn't sure if it's his friend or no. Asher gets to his feet just in case and stumbles right into the arms of... not Rose.
"You ok?" The raven haired boy asks, his storm colored eyes glancing over Asher to see if he's much of a threat.
"I think so?" Asher says, taking a step back back against the tree.
"Answering a question with a question, are we?" A golden furred wolf turned into a crouching and grinning golden haired boy.
"I- Am I not supposed to?" Asher flinches when the golden haired boy rocks back on his heels and hoots with laughter.
"I think we should keep you. I like you, human." The gold one chuckles.

Jayden yelps at the kick to the stomach and goes rolling, smacking into a tree. He gets to his paws, glaring at the Borealis wolves as they retreated to their territory and got reinforcements. Stupid wolves. They should have allowed him to kill her. However, she is no longer in his territory and he can no longer punish her. He must agree to whatever Lila's punishment is - also, she isn't his wolf anyways.

He sits down and pants to regain breath lost. Black spots roll over his vision as the venom/poison/whatever coating Jezz's claws begins to take effect. "Jezz, I hate you. I hate you til the end of time and beyond." Jayden mutters to himself, his legs shaking as he keeps himself upright and fights against whatever it is Jezz uses. He looks for her, to demand she take back her whatever it is, and can't find her. She had disappeared in the chaos. He pouts and stands.

"No, no need to punish her, she had done a noble deed in putting our friend out of her misery." Coco isn't about to say that she thought the fault lay more on the Luna, not Crimson, for the fact Jayden's sister had been pulled away to die. "Don't punish her." Coco repeats. "It's our mistake, not hers." She grabs Jayden's scruff and drags him away, clearly angry with him. The rest of the patrol at this time had joined them and were standing at the ready, but not moving to attack.
