ehhh ive seen this suggestion before, so im having the same response. yes it would be cool, but it would not b e fair. the challenge from tlg/maws comes from the boss buffs and trying to work around them. players dont get to summon minions or have a stun ability or stuff like that. theres the same 6 elemets, 4 moves per element. theres really not much strategy. it will come down to stats, equips, move ranks none of which new players have, so it would be frustrating unles you have supermaxes, the best stoneweaves, fully ranked. and if both have the same things its just luck to win.

allso if its realtime battled would take forever. snow wars takes so long to get done, and thats a single move per turn per side. it would be wayyyy to long to get a 50 turn pvp w/ 3 pets on both sides making 3 moves, and youd prob want to take a look at what the other player does each turn.m

so yea kinda cool idea but since theres not really strategy it wont be fair fights. sylestia battle system is prob not going to work in pvp, i feel like krin would of done it if it did.

Yeah I feel like (especially with a lot of LG teams) it'd be a stalemate. Realtime PvP is never really... effective? unless you have a larger playerbase with ~100 people actively doing PvP at a time. I'm hoping we get an arena overhaul like the maws but year-round - rankings, fastest clearing, etc - that would reset monthly or weekly. Those could be PvP elements - the higher your rank, the higher/more valuable your rewards.

This is probably just me but this is the very last thing Id ever want to see in Sylestia. Any site or game that Ive ever seen with PvP is a nesting ground for resentment, trash talk, trolls and egomaniacs. I do think the latter three wouldnt be tolerated here but resentment and hurt feelings would be inevitable. I love that Sylestia is free from this and never want to see it devolve like it clearly did during the Trick or Treat event years back, which is the closest Sylestia has had to PvP by far. No support from me, purely because I do absolutely without a doubt believe that any type of PvP would ruin Sylestia.

I'll conditionally support this. My condition is having the ability to opt out of pvp battles, or say having the option to allow them only from people on your friends list. I personally would be annoyed by random battle invites and would like to opt out of the feature.

Keeping in mind the concerns of others, I agree that this battles would run very slowly (and coming from Neopets eons ago, I don't see this as much of an issue) so having the option to exit them would be nice. Either way, having these battles as nothing more than fun battles and the ability to opt out of them I think would eliminate some potential issues in the community.
