Amelia was ready to go to school.
It was her Senior year and she was excited.
She went downstairs and saw her dad and brother at the table as she walked to the kitchen.
"Good morning." She said as she passed by them, heading to the refrigerator.

Luke ignored Amelia and sipped his coffee. Ethan chewed his Pop-Tart and sneezed on his fathers arm and then waved at Amelia.

Amelia waved back with a small smile, then went into the fridge. She was looking for her lunch box she made for herself last night.
After a second or two she found it and took it out of the fridge and set it on the counter.
'Lets hope today is going to be a good day...' She said to herself

Beau, their German shepherd, wandered in nudged Amelia.

Luke stood, gently placing Ethan back in his seat. "All right, big guy," he said, kissing the top of Ethans head. "Dad has to fix the bathroom sink, so you sit there and be good. When Im done, we'll go feed the pigs, okay?"

"'Kay," Ethan chirped, swinging his chubby legs. "Floppy wants to see if Ms. Daisy had her babies yet."

She smiled as Beau nudged her.
"Hi bud.." She said softly, kneeling down and scratching behind his ear.
"When I come back from school we will go for a walk ok?" She smiled more.

At the mention of a walk, his tail began to wag.

"Lia?" Ethan got out of his chair, going over to Amelia, clutching his rabbit under his chin. His blue eyes regarded her somberly. "Can I go with you today?"

She sighed with a smile.
"Not today... But when I get back, we can head to the playground. Does that sound fun?" She suggested.

Suddenly, there were two small arms wrap around her leg. Ethan clung to her doggedly, his face tilted up to hers, his jaw set. "Please?" he begged. "Ill be good, I promise. Take me with you? Just for today?"

"I can't... I don't think the school wants a little monkey running around." She joked.

"Scared," Ethan muttered, burying his face in her lower leg.
