She squealed a bit. "Sorry sir, you startled me. What does it matter if I can do stuff with water?"

"Oh, you haven't learnt much then, have you? Elementals are rare my friend. The government wants them all gone, since they are 'dangerous.'" The Raccoon man continued.

"Which is why I haven't learned much. Because I was hidden away from the government." Her eyes glowed brighter by the minute.

Ace sat in the back, listening to the conversation curiously as he took a drag on his cigarette.
In truth, he had been extremely wary about ever coming to such a place when be received the invite, as outwardly no one was able to tell he was a mutant just by the way he dressed.

Thankfully for him, most normal people assumed his natural smoke-white hair color was some sort of dye, something he was more than happy to oblige for his continued personal safety.

But he had begun feeling increasingly isolated and anxious as time grew on, having to hide his smoke powers day in and day out. To know of others still around reignited some small measure of hope in him that one day he would not need to. He was not a threat, he did not ask to be born this way, after all.

"It'd do you good to learn a few things at least."

He flicked the end of the cigarette into a tray on the table with a bit of a smirk at her.

"Loudly walking in here announcing your powers is not a good idea for starters. Flies on walls exist, my dear. A den like this would be an absolute haven for rounding up a bunch of mutants all in one place. One really has to wonder.."

"The heck as you talking about? I've barely said anything," she walked over to the the man. "And why would you care anyway?"

(hadn't wanted to jump in right away but whatever, it had to happen, lol.)

He decided to mess with her, knowing full well others inside the woman at the front had verified his power when he had come in, so he was in no danger of anyone actually taking him seriously.
"What if I told you that I was not a mutant, mm?" He twirled a knife in his fingers.
"How might you react?"

She reached into her boot, took out her dagger, and walked up to him. "I would make sure you didn't see the light of day again. But, you wouldn't be aloud in here if you weren't."

"I didn't exactly see a bouncer."
He held the knife up at her for a moment before letting it disintegrate in his hand in wisps of smoke.
"But at least you're not as dumb as you appear to be. Good job."
He said it with a bit of a smile and slight laugh.

(Oh wow. That, uh, okay then.)

She put the dagger back into her boot. "I'm glad I passed your test." She said sarcastically and matter-of-factly.

"Look kid, wasn't trying be mean. Just stating you have big amounts of power!" He groaned from the back.
"And, we all hide here for a reason, like little smokin' boy said."
