Might be the age demographic. Sylestia's got a pretty skewed young userbase from what I've seen so far. It's weird to me coming from places like Flight Rising and Neopets where the majority of people around there are at least around college age. Really makes me feel out of place, but I've liked the community so far.

I'm more into older anime, things like Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Ghost in the Shell, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure etc. Studio Ghibli's got a lot of my favorite movies too.
Might be because I watched a lot of anime when I was younger since I grew up during the 00s when it was just starting to get into everywhere and everything. But I'm picky. :p
A lot of newer stuff I just can't get into as easily. I usually stick to short anime that only have a couple seasons, but I don't nearly watch anime or any tv shows as much as I used to. But if you ever want recommendations, I can definitely give some.

And don't let a lack of experience stop you from writing what you want to write though if you enjoy doing it. It's a skill you learn as you go and there is a lot of good resources out there just for improving writing skills in general. I've been writing and rping on chats and forums since I was like 9 and I'm no expert either but I still love it. I've made my fair share of bad rps too. *shrug*

Growing up Vesper wanted to become a doctor and help save lives and after she left school she got a job as a waitress while studying her medical degree in collage and later became a medic in a hospital but after her mother died in an accident she relocated to work on the same space ship as her father working as the primary medic
