Sure! Maybe the Kittypets got a sudden urge to live in the wild, due to the town being barren and dead and from the radiation.

What about a plot where the two-legs are shooing the cats away from the forest to expand their town, so the clans have to make an alliance to drive away the two-legs

Oh, there's a summary I found its a really good series.
Seekers follows the adventures of four bear cubs: Kallik (a polar bear), Lusa (a black bear), Ujurak (a small grizzly bear who can shape-shift into any animal), and Toklo (also a grizzly bear). Led by Ujurak, the four bears search for a place where they can live in peace without human interference and harassment.
