" I don't need to be treated, I am just fine. Besides I need to make sure Lionel here stays nice and tipsy so he doesn't think about that girl he was seeing. He should be over her by now! I don't get the whole love thing. Girls come and go, simple as that. "

Dally glanced over at Lionel, taking a minute to process those words. Her gaze was highly conflicted.
"It's more damaging than you think it is. And drinking is a bad way to distract anyone. Try to ease up on him, please. That girl could have been a life for him. "Simple"? There's nothing about it that's even remotely close to that word."
Her gaze seemed pitiful as she looked at Lionel for a moment longer, before she cleared up her expression.
"As for being "fine", I don't believe you until I check ya myself. I'm not afraid to drag you there in front of everyone here. All you men are so touchy with getting your wounds treated... God forbid anyone sees ya heal." She replied sarcastically.

" My dad said if he isn't back to normal by next week he'd have my head on a silver platter. I can't ease up. " He said with a sigh, and glared at her for her last comment. " You wouldn't dare drag me. "

Dally's expression turned a little irritated.
"You don't just get over someone's death on the flip of a dime, Thomas. One day you'll figure that out."
She opened her mouth to respond to the last bit, when she sighed. But she shot back a look just as dirty.
"You're right. I don't. But Bee dares all the time. I'll just go get her. I know how much you two argue all the time so I hope you're ready for a headache. She is one of the very few who doesn't put up with your- your-" She stopped herself before she said something she would regret later.

" Ruby might do it, but I will give you more then a headache if you go get her.. It would hurt my ear if she was hear, and my head, and my everything because she will get mad and we would get in a fight. "

Dally raised an eyebrow.
"That better not be a threat. Give me anything more than a headache and you're down a medic. Choose wisely Thomas." She replied with a dismissive wave, walking across the room towards the couch where Ruby was at the moment.

(Dally is such a little jerk lol)

Thomas was just about to blow up like a volcano when he heard a sad, small voice said, " Another whiskey. " It was Lionel, who was just staring blankly at his empty glass. Thomas got him another glass.

Dally tapped Ruby on the shoulder.
"Sorry Bee, I know things are still cooling down, but I need a tiiiny favor. Thomas won't get a check up as usual and I need someone that defies him to make him do it..."

Ruby gave an annoyed sigh as she looked from Dally to Thomas at the counter.
"I'm too tired to deal with him. Find someone else..." She mumbled as she closed her eyes again.

Dally huffed. "It's for his own good, Bee. Please? You can ask me a favor any time and I'll do it. Pretty please?"

Ruby rolled her eyes as she stood up, bags evident under her eyes as she started walking his direction.
"You owe me big time, Dally. I mean it. Honestly if he's fighting so hard just let him deal with it himself..." She mumbled again as she rubbed her right eye, stopping when she arrived at the counter. Her face said everything about what mood she was in.

Thomas noticed, and became kind of scared and just said, " alright, fine.. " Before walking off into the back room. He didn't feel like getting stabbed by Ruby tonight. He knew she would do it, too. He really didn't want to die tonight either.

( Thomas- *all big and tough* Ruby- *Looks at him* Thomas- *turns into little puppy dog and is scared* )

Edaline softened and gave him a side hug. "I know what it's like to lose someone you love, especially to an enemy." She smiled sadly. "But the only way to honor their deaths is to keep on living our lives to the fullest and make sure their sacrifice wasn't in vain."
