"Cows are not normally purple where I come from." I told her. "I'm sorry I'm upsetting you." I aplogized. "Oh you're getting dressed." I said as I walked out of the room and shut her door behind me. "She hates me." I told myself sadly.

"So its Alex right?" she asked through the door before adding another question " what do you know about Monsters?"

"Yeah my name's Alex miss Kida." I told her. "Um well that they're mean. They are in a lot of myths. Humans believe that they aren't real though. Which is uh apparently not true because here you are." I told her. "So why were you sad earlier if you don't mind me asking." I said.

She listened closely her tail swaying as she changed, and opened the door seeing as he was still curious about the ball " Well every year for monsters of age there is a Ball that's held where we are destine to find our match... or our partner, and normally everyone finds someone to spend the rest of their life with...." she said before trailing off and tidying up some things around the hall and into the kitchen as she tried to avoid the subject, but decided it was better to just tell him " .... but, luck has it I came home alone.." she said trying to force a smile.

"Oh." I said not knowing what to say. "Well." I said slowly. "Maybe there's a reason why you came home alone and found me here instead." I told her as as I followed her into the kitchen awkwardly. I gave her as goofy grin. "Oh is this you and your dad?" I asked seeing a picture of her and a older man that looked like her on the fridge. "I-uh- sorry I didn't mean to snoop." I said hanging my head in embarrassment.

She nodded " Yeah Thats the old man, I haven't seen him in a while.... I haven't done a lot of damming and portal opening......... and the heck if I'm going to go today...... " she said before starting to impersonate Satan " Oh Buttercup how did the ball go who's the lucky demon lord that gets to be my son-in-law? Blegh! not gonna be heading home for a while, because the moment he finds out ! *gasp* MY daughter how dare they! could the not find a susceptible monstrosity to aid her every becon call?! outrageous! Ugh my head hurts just thinking about it " she said putting away some dishes before apologizing " Sorry, My problems don't need to become yours.... arin't you worried about getting home?"

I couldn't help but chuckle at her impersonation. " No why would I be worried about getting home?" I asked confused and forgetting that she didn't know about my family life. "I doubt your dad would act like that. I'm sure he would understand." I told her.

"oh nonono That my dear was a perfect personification of Satan, absolutely flawless" she said with a chuckle seeming to be in a bit of better spirits. " but why would you not want to go home ?"

"Oh uh well you see. I kinda maybe have no family that I know of?" I said it as a question. "So whelp this is nice. I'm gonna go over here." I said quickly while pointing a random direction and going in the opposite one.

" Wait, you mean you dot have a reason to want to go back? " she asked followig you not sure why you were headed to the broom closet
