These scams are so horrible. Once they called our landline using our landline's number. That was just idiotic.

That's happened to me, too. They've also called my cell using my cell phone's number.
On the topic of fake call on computers having viruses:
A while ago (I mean a while) someone called the landline saying our computer has a virus.
My mother was the one who picked up the phone. It went something like this.
Caller: Hello, this is [name of company], your Windows computer has a virus.
Mom: Which one?
Caller: Excuse me?
Mom: Which one?
Caller (getting flustered): Uh, the one that has Windows?
Mom: Which one? I have five.
*click*

I was caught once like this. I upload my personal data and phone numbers into my account details at one forum and that was my biggest mistake. Someone checked my IP-adress and all info that was able in my profile and wrote me that he knows where I live, then he started to call me and send awfull messages on my mailbox. It finished when I started using Veepn.com and changed all my forums profiles and since then I was very carefull. Always think about your personal data protection!

I got one of those once too just the other day... except it was in a group chat with 19 other people in it...
