Hey, I have a little inkling of what's going on here. You're in the wrong, it doesn't matter if it's public, claiming something as yours is wrong. In the real world, that's where lawsuits come in.
An apology to everyone's designs that were stolen should suffice, and if you don't know where they came from, then you shouldn't use them. It's proper manners and the ethical thing to do.
