"Fine, just Jenna and just Kenneth." Sean said, making his way over to the course.

Carter decided to speak up, "Jenna and Kenneth-- no justs." he corrected as gently as he could.

"See? This is why Carter is my favorite." Jenna scoffed, crossing her arms and gently patting the boy's back gently. Or well, her definition of 'gentle pats' was probably something akin to a slightly less forceful slap.

"And here I was thinking it was me." Fei said, sounding anything but jealous as she relaxed on her lounge chair. She was calm and collected, and it was difficult to distinguish the two girls to be related at all, much less sisters. The younger girl had longer, wavy tresses while the older one had short cut locks in the same color. The only similarity was their skin tone- even their eyes were different. "I guess I was mistaken."

Kenneth plopped down on the ground, he didn't seem deterred by the fail like Jenna. Just more confident and ready to beat it next time. The younger Walker sister wished she could relate. Patience was a big problem. Kenneth spoke up, his tan arms crossing as he observed Sean. "Good luck! Don't fail this time!"

Carter forced himself not to flinch, being the big soft baby he is, and smiled shyly. The earth ninja began to worry, as his turn was right after Sean's, as to how he'd get through being his height and all.

Sean stalked icily (lmao see what I did there--) towards the course. The ninja paused briefly before turning around under Carter's soft glare, "Er-- Thank you, Kenneth King." He faced the course once again, his past experiences with it haunted him, and he narrowed his eyes in concentration. The young male rushed on light feet into the maze of obstacles and training dummies. He managed to dodge and weave his way through most of it before he made a mistake in his timing. One of the rotating beams caught his foot and swung him off his feet. As he fell another beam slammed into his side, pushing him roughly into the flour sack padding of the nearest dummy. "Your... turn Carter... Ron..." Sean groaned dragging himself out of the course to join the others.

"Oh. Yayyy." Carter said with forced enthusiasm.

"I wonder if his muscles don't let him smile or something." Jenna mused with a smirk as her blue eyed-gaze followed after Sean. It was obvious, though, that she was envious, seeing as he had made it an obstacle or two past her best try.

"Well, he did just get hit in the side by a wooden beam." Kenneth pointed out, and Jenna shot him a look that very blatantly meant 'shut up, I'm trying to make fun of my worst opponent'. Meanwhile, behind them, Fei snorted.

Jenna laid back, stretching her arms out behind her to prop herself up. "Go Carter!" She cheered, blowing a strand of dark hair out of her face.

Sean leaned heavily against one of the posts used for balancing on top of. He raised an eyebrow, his baby blue gaze locked onto Carter and the course.

Carter turned and gave Jenna two thumbs up, his goofy half smile plastered on his lips. He attempted the course, having to do more than ducking and jumping with his height. He managed to get a post past his previous score from last time, still struggling behind the other's scores of course but it was progress, and faced the first of several dummies. He assumed a fighting stance, bracing himself for the spinning attacks of the dummy and it's wooden weapons. He managed to land a hit or two before getting a beam to the face. The gentle giant stumbled back and walked over to the others.

Sean slow clapped, the closest thing to a congratulation one could get from the emotionless rock of a young man.

Well, at least he got better by quite a bit. I barely even make it past if I do manage to improve. "You'll get better at it." Jenna encouraged for once. In her ideal world, Fei wouldn't be her sister, and she would have a younger brother like Carter.

Kenneth nodded in agreement at Jenna's words, shaking away some sweat from his messy brown hair. "Okay, so.... can we take a break for today?"

"Sure. Why not, since I'm in charge today." Fei said, relishing the words with a large grin. And I'm loving every second of it. Now, to actually pick the best cook to make dinner. The most difficult challenge I face today.

Carter smiled warmly, "Thanks! You did great too, Jenna! Oh-- And Kenneth, and Sean, and Fei." The soft male cut himself off before he could say 'I guess', he was too worried about the others feelings to say something like that, no matter how tempting.

"So!" Fei clapped her hands together, finally standing up and picking up the cup and saucer that she had used for her tea. "Who's making dinner tonight? I nominate anyone except Jenna because she can't cook at all! Oh, and myself, because I was first to finish the course so I have some perks right?"

Sean stared dully at Fei, an eyebrow arched slightly. The calm and collected ninja didn't say anything however.

Carter made an excited squeak, "I can..!" He volunteered almost as soon as Fei was done talking. Oooh! Maybe something traditional? Totally gotta try one of those recipes in that old cook book Sensei left for us when he left to do his meditation!
