"Glittering, catching the light just right that it blinds you. But the light fades and behind it is a face like no other framed in a rim of black about the eyes. He doesn't hate your glasses." Dex said in passing of a woman, yet he barely stopped to talk more. "Just like mother used to wear." He fidgeted some before turning towards the girl. "He thinks of his mother when he looks at you, it helps his hurt. His mother died a few days ago yet today he smiles at the memories. You helped him."

Taika glanced at Dex and wondered what he was talking about.

"He still hurts but the hurt is dull now. Thank you." Dex said looking at the woman. "Forgive me, I confused you. I'm sorry. Let me start over...I'm Dex, I'm here to help people."

Taika nodded, "My name is Taika, nice to meet you Dex."

"Taika...that's a pretty name." Dex said still unsmiling as ever. "A name not many have..." He put a hand on his pointed ear, rubbing the small horns that sprouted from his head. "Thank you for helping him, he thanks you as well..."

Taika wasn't sure what he had just said, "Uh, ok?" she said not sure what to do.

"Do you help people as well? Do you heal their hurt?"

"I try to help out as much as I can." she replied.

"Do you want to help people with me? Can you feel their hurt too?"

"I can't feel their hurt, but I can bandage wounds and make the sad happy."
