Well, basically Celestia and Luna both retire and Ponyville has grown into a city and Twilight and the gang have to stay there and Cadence can't because well, city. So Twilight goes to appoints two new princesses, but, messes up and sends them into a different world where they are no longer ponies and a new type of creature.
((Just really any mythical creature expect for Pegasus and Unicorns.))
