A few minutes later the Wildwood kids and a few Hearst kids were sitting around the campfire playing Truth or Dare. Kestrel spotted Dustin and rolled her eyes at him. She stuck her tongue out at him and a few people chuckled.

"We?" Kestrel asked, leaning forward to look into the fire. "Since when did you want to spend time with the Wildwood kids you were making fun of?"
Her friend leaned over and whispered into her ear. Kestrel smirked and turned to him. "Alright, wanna play? Prove that you're as great as you think you are--stay the rest of the night in the woods. With nothing except a regular flashlight."
(And he can just say she should come with to prove shes brave too, or something like that)

Her smirk faltered and her friends drew in shocked breaths. It was rather well known in Wildwood High that the Princess of The Halls, Kestrel Sterling, was terrified of the dark. She had panicked majorly in a power outage at school once and no one had forgotten since.
She blinked slowly, then nodded. "Fine. I'm not too proud to admit that I'll probably be terrified, but I'll do it." She raised her chin up as if daring him to make fun of her.
