thanks, I'm still not getting it I think though- it is showing a broken picture- do you know why? or how to fix?
I put pet page site

then higlighted it and hit the IMG= button
then I paste in the IMG= box what I copied in firefox browser-right click image and copy image location. the link worked but the picture/image doesn't show, instead shows the little broken image symbol

Ah, no, you have it the wrong way around.
You paste the image url, highlight THAT, then paste the PAGE link into the url box.
The Url box is for the link where you want it to take the person who clicks it to, the thin that should be between the ]['s is the image link, the thing you want them to click on to go to that place

so
[*img= url of the page you want to send someone to] image url of the image you want people to see on the post [/img*]
