Yeah, I really like the post apocalyptic feel, and maybe mutated monsters?

YES. SIMPLY YES. I used to be obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, and though I never watch it anymore, the mutated sciency stuff managed to stick to me.

So far we have: Post apocalyptic society, characters trying to survive. How do they meet each other?

How about we start off with neither of them knowing the other exists, but one stumbles across the others home. I would imagine Selene would live in a park in a self-dug den under some tree roots, and a minivan she rewired to be remote control would cover the exit.

Yusssssss! I remember the first time I watched it, it made me too sad, so I stopped it. About a month later I continued it!
And Crystal is living in a school, slowly clearing out each room of zombies and stuff, until the school is clear. Then she will move on to the grocery stores and stuff. The school will basically become her fortress. Since it has cleaning supplies, she can make it nice and clean on the inside. Crystal makes it her home. She also loots most of the stuff she finds.

So how do you want to start?

Ummmm, do you want to write a paragraph or two about what ur doing, and then Ill do the same, until we meet?

Selene crawled out of her den and stretched, taking off into the sky and alighting at the edge of the park. She wandered further on foot, and heard a rustling noise under a car. She watched a rat poke its nose out from underneath a black Subaru. Her mouth started to water. She thought and thought about how nice it would be to have some lunch.
Suddenly, the rat shot out across the road, and instinctively Selene took off after it. She dropped to all fours and raced over the road into an alley. The rat was fast, but she was faster, her paws barely touching the rough concrete.
Selene slammed a paw down in front of her and held it down. The scratching noise under it told her that the rodent was there, and through some unknown instinct she leaped over the rat faster than she thought she could ever move. She pivoted on one front paw and pounced on the rat. Leaning in for the kill, she bit down hard behind its neck, the taste of warm blood blooming in her mouth.
She sat back on her haunches, munching quietly on a mouthful of rat. She finished the last few bites and looked around. Everything seemed darker than it was before. Oh no... She thought. Its sunset!
A Darkseeker turned the corner, and upon seeing Selene, screeched and charged at her, pinning her to the ground, digging its nails into her shoulders. Get... off of me! She shouted, sending her knee up into its stomach. It stumbled back, giving her a moment to catch her breath. The Darkseekers companions began to gather, cornering Selene into the alley. She flapped her wings as hard as she could, launching herself up and out of the alley, landing behind the Darkseekers, and ran for her life.

From her perch, Crystal could see her old high school. She had been finishing up with studying for her finals, when the disease finally reached her quarantined school. The screaming had started from the nurses office, slowly working its way up to the top floor, like the spirits of the damned. Crystal had no choice but to jump, along with the shards of glass, twinkling in the rain. Now looking back at her school, she grew saddened by the state of disrepair the outside had become, although it had only been 3 months. The ivy had grown thick, like armour around on the walls, so thick, you could no longer see the graffiti.

She knew that she couldnt stay on her rooftop forever. She either had to make the decision, or starve and bleed to death under the unrelenting sun. Crystal got to her feet. She thought back, deep into the crew aces in her mind.

Damian? You there?
She asked.

I need your help... and i know that unless you want to dissapate as I die, you will help me.

Fine. What do you need? You're not going to jump off, are you?! You must be mad... its 15 stories up!
Echoed a voice in her head.

Crystal didnt answer. She put in her brave face, and leapt off the edge. The wind whipped her hair into her face and her clothes flattened against her, as if the wind was trying to slow her fall. Just before she made contact with the ground, she was jerked to a stop. Then, dropped from four feet up.

Crystal said, scowling as she dusted herself off.

She observed the school, and decided that she would start off by clearing out the first floor. She vaulted over an open windowsill and popped in a pair of earbuds. Turning her I pod to max volume, she whipped out her blades.

Its showtime boys!
She howled.

Selene kept running, slipping under a truck and leaping a fence, but there would always be another Darkseeker on the other side. Her legs began to hurt, and she saw a large building, presumably a highschool, up ahead with an unlocked door.
Yes! Sanctuary! She said under her breath.
She grew nearer, but heard the sounds from inside, and slowed for a split second. A Darkseeker came out of nowhere, plowing into her side. She twisted around to bite it, but it smashed her head to the ground, stunning her momentarily. It took that moment to grab her wing and fling her against the school. She heard a snap as its powerful hand broke her wing, and in that instant all she felt was pain. She let out a sound like an odd cross between a meow, a roar, and a growl as she lifted herself to all fours, her wing flopping uselessly at her side. Fight. Flight is out of the question. She flung herself towards the infected creature with all her remaining strength, her jaws clamping around its throat. She clung on as its nails raked her sides, and its struggles turned to spasms, its spasms turned to twitches, its twitches turned into one last gasp for air before its heart beat for the last time. Selene released it, standing a moment before falling limply on top of her kill, drained of all her strength.
