He doesn't respond to any of the questions he was asked, instead he just stares out into the distance. He whisper only one thing to himself before going silent,

"Where have I seen a burning world?"

(this was surprisingly difficult to write, despite being so short.)

(I was planning to wait to see if something would join, but my character can't ignore what he just said, and it's too good for me to miss x). You obviously didn't do it on purpose since you don't know my character background, but she would take that for a provocation! You made me be in the same situation you were, as writing an answer to this is very difficult. Hate the character, not the roleplayer! ^^)

She was baffled. She stood immobile and stiff. Too stiff. Her grip on her bow had tighten, and her other hand was clenched into a fist. She did not want to hurt him. She was not even sure that the boy had said that to her, as he was gazing into the distance. Why would he first hesitate to approach, fearing she could kill her, and only a few instants later insult her? It did not make any sense. But if he spoke to her of a burning world by a mere coincidence, this coincidence was very big.
In her mind she saw the images of burning cities, of bodies in ashes, of red torches in a pitch black night, of high flames and their reflections in the water of the sea. Fire was in her spirit, in her blood, in her pride and her regrets, it was life and it was death.
Could he know who she was? Was he being provocative on purpose? Even if it was the case, she should not hurt him. He was a child.
She moved towards him slowly, and lifted up her hood a bit, to reveal piercing grey eyes, that were bright even in the darkness, and as sharp as a blade.

"How do you dare you speak of a burning world to me! The game you are playing is a dangerous one. If you know something, say it, but do not insult my family. My patience does have limits." She warned him in a deep voice.

Although he couldn't notice her reaction, he definitely heard her. He jumped backwards around three feet, landing in a somewhat cowering position, tensed and ready to run if need be.

"What did I say? What did ! say?" he responds, a panicked tone in his voice.

He lifts his head so he can see her more clearly, and despite the fact he was no-longer distracted, one can tell his eyes are still slightly unfocused.

"Pleasedon'tkillme," the panicked tone in his voice is not gone, instead he talks quite quickly, almost stumbling over his words.

Liam frowned as he walked by the same tree for the third time. He looked around, and decided just to sit by the same tree he had already walked by, it was no use wandering around like he was. He was wearing just a plain white t-shirt, with some beaten up jeans, and some combat boots.

He wished he could just switch to his demon form, but he didn't want to be seen by unwanted eyes. The only weapons he had were daggers up his sleeves, and a medium sized katana. Liam looked around at the still life of the forest.

He sighed. He hated this form of him. He looked like a small child, but it was the best chance he had. He could always switch his appearance older, but the younger you are, the less likely you are to be killed straight away. He played with some fire in his hands, tossing it between them like a small ball, the cackling sounds filling the silent forest.

"It is... the burning world." she explained. "If someone had intended to offense me, they would have said something like that. How could you know? Forgive me."

She had calmed down, and her voice and eyes were gentle, even softer than before. She had only meant to frighten him a bit to discourage him to insult her or her family. She regretted. She was worried by his unfocused eyes. She hoped he was not injured, or sick.

"I would not have killed you. I do not want to kill anyone. Are you feeling well?"

She extended her hand which was not holding the bow, to invite him to come back.

"If you are lost, you can stay with me. I can help you and protect you."

She stiffened again and turned her head suddenly. Someone else was around.

"Have you heard something?" she asked to Imp.

"Who are you?" she called. "Show yourself!"

Liam frowned as he made the fire disappear. Someone else was here. He sighed as he stood up, and looked around. He prepared to act like a little child, he felt so pathetic as he made his quiet and gentle voice call out.
" H-Hello? Is someone there? " He said in a fact and pathetic sounding child voice.

When he sees her calm down, he relaxes.

"I'm fine, why do you ask?" Why would she think something was wrong? He felt fine. They next question definitely catches his attention.

"Huh? I don't, hear anything?" He phrases it more of a question then anything, before looking around. Then there is the response from the unknown person.

He doesn't really know how to react, as he thought he saw a light, so he stays silent, instead, he starts looking around the ground for something.

Liam stepped out from behind the trees, and looked at the two people before him. He prepared the daggers in his sleeves in case they tried something, which he actually doubted. He was itching to get out of this child form of his, and get back to his demon form, but that would have to wait.
" Who are you? " He said in that meek childish voice he had to use.

Another child? What were so many children doing in this forest? She could not find a satisfying answer. She considered the possibility that a town had been attacked and that the children had run in the woods to hide, but there were no human town or settlement that she knew about near the forest, and if the children were all coming from the same place, surely they would know each other.
The woman stared at the young-looking boy. If she thought Imp and the first children who had not talked yet were strange, something about this one made her feel uncomfortable. She did not know why. Except for the strange rags he was wearing, he seemed to be more normal than the two other boys. Someone made her feel the same way before. Who was it?

"I think I have asked this question first." the woman said. "I am a wanderer, who was walking in the woods when she found these two boys. Maybe you have an explanation about why you are all in this forest?"
