They tilted their head slightly, "Why did I... I didn't message you..." They said quietly, "Seriously... Why did you think it was me?"

Olive raised her eyebrows. "Suuure you didn't." She flipped open her phone and showed her the texts.

Nina shrugged, pulling out their own phone and showing the whole singular conversation they had had within the last hour. All it had was a chat with an unknown number.

"A mystery afoot!" Olive snickered, raising a fist into the air dramatically. Then she sobered up. "I don't like the look of this...." Extending a hand, "The name's Olive."

River glanced at the text she got. She looked at it confusingly. She texted back.

Yeah, I'll be there. You might have to remind me who you are. She wanted to get out of the house before her father got home. She was scared of him. She quickly changed into some other clothes, just a plain white long sleeve with a plaid red skirt and some boots. She pulled her hair up, something she normally did after school. She started walking to the cafe. She was wondering who the person was, and why they were meeting up. She was glad for an excuse to get out of the house though. She opened the cafe door and the smell of coffee filled the air. She saw the group of people already at the middle table.

" Which one of you sent me this? " She asked pointing at the text message in her phone.

Eli whistled as he left the house, just a few minutes ago, he had gotten a text from the leader of the art club, apparently, they wanted to discuss his last piece of artwork, probably something about displaying it in an exhibition. It sounded like a good idea.
He pulled on his beanie and made it to the cafe, noticing his sibling, sitting there at the middle table where he was meant to be with the art club leader. "What are you doing here??" He hissed, they were the last person he wanted to see.

They nodded slowly, "Yeah... A mystery..." That was the last thing they wanted, more problems. They took Olive's hand and shook it. "Nina... Although, I've been thinking about changing it, so I wouldn't suggest getting used to it."
They turned suddenly, hearing the annoying voice of their annoying brother. "Great... You..."

They then looked over at River, "Who are all of you people?! Why do we all have these messages!? God sakes!"

Monica looked at her phone as she got ready, putting on some makeup. She didn't recognize the number, but figured it was just an accident.

Hey! I forgot to save your name in my phone >-< how do you spell it again?

She texted the number. It was always embarrassing to admit not knowing someone's name, so as a surefire way of avoiding the awkward 'uhhhh what's your name again?' she just asked how to spell it.

Eli looked around wildly at all of the people, "Okay, what is this? Why are we all here? What's with the texts?" He turned around, "I'm so leaving, this is getting freaky."
