I got up slowly and drank the coffee. I headed back and paid a bit for a donut to eat. I fixed it myself but I got flour and dough all over me. Darn it....... I kept trying to make it. It wasn't a good day so far and I could only guess it's going to get worse.

He eveutually got up to the counter, trying to get Hana to stop pawing at the treat bin

I heard someone at the counter. I went over and had a bit of flour on my hands and cheek. I sighed. "Sorry what can I do for you?" I asked and smiled. I hoped they didn't point out the flour on me. I already was struggling and had just managed to get the donut frying. The others were working in the kitchen.

E-erm.. may I get a hot chocolate? He said quietly

"sure! Hopefully it's gonna get done soon....." I said. I wiped my forehead only getting more flour on it. "It'll be 2 dollars." I said

He pulled out his wallet

I was glad he hadn't pointed out the flour. Most probably would. I managed to wipe my hands clean. I kept a smile on my face.

Here, he said, pulling out a five dollar bill. Keep the change.
Mattie could tell she had a rough day and he wanted to make it better

I took it. The others served him. I got my donut and the manager came over. "Go home..... Rest up. You have taken way too many work days..... I can't imagine how well you sleep." He said. I nodded and got back into my normal clothes. I took down the pony tail.

The tips of my hair were red and it made a nice look but people didn't usually pay attention to me.

He sat down and drank it as he pulled out his phone:
