You must survive living where food and water are scarce, no safe places to sleep easily and planning where to go to next. Good luck A cool breeze blew in through the window, making the man shiver as it did. Even with this windbreaker it didn't help, it seemed it only got colder. Maybe he was getting sick, a fever gave you chills, that could it. As this thought ran through his head he pushed it aside. No, he couldn't think like that, it would only lead to trouble. Tiredly he began to climb the stairs up to his rooftop apartment, same as he did every day. It gave him a view, and a safe place to stay. Once in the rather tidy one room apartment, he sat his pack aside before looking out the window.

"Looks like there isn't anyone out there again." He said with a sigh. He was hoping to find a bit of smoke, or see someone walking but that was a long shot. Walking back inside he put away the items he didn't need before shouldering the pack again and exiting the room. Aaron walked back down to the street, looking about as he did. First rule of business was to look for another blanket or two. Then there had been that dog he had seen about that he wanted to look for again. As he walked down the road there was a noise off to his right that caused him to stop and look.

There on the side of a street was a dog, a Doberman, it is rummaging though the garbage of a tipped over garbage can, around it's neck is a blue collar. It's stops and notices Aaron, it seems hungry and nervous

He froze a moment as the dog turned to look at him. This wasn't the normal mitt he saw about, the other dog was smaller, most likely a rat terrier mix of sort. This one looked to be a Doberman, not a very nice breed when it came to taming. They chose their owner, not the humans. Carefully he backed away not wanting to startle the animal.

The house appears quiet and abandoned, the only sounds are the wind, the leafs and the occasional bark of an animal. There is a gate right next to the house, a fence in good conditions surrounds the backyard, the lock on the gate is a simple slide lock

Loki quietly paced up to the gate and drew the lock out, opening the gate and hoping it wouldn't creak too loud as he did. He looked around the garden as he walked in.

The Doberman still looked at Aaron, the Doberman lowered it's ears, in a non threatening way, and slowly approached, the dogs eyes barely made eye contact with Aaron, it appears it doesn't want to fight

The garden has overgrown weeds, but several flowers still remain, clearly taken care of before the apocalypse happened, the houses backdoor is slightly open

The dog saw this gesture, it approached and sniffed at Aaron's hand, the dog wagged it small tail, it appears this dog just wanted to have human contact, it's blue collar being obvious it was a pet and was well taken care of

Slowly, and as carefully as he could he laid a hand on the dogs head and gave it a pat. "Hey there." Aaron said gently as he petted it. "Your a good boy aren't you? Wonder what your name is..."
