@Dragondawn,
We want to make potions more valuable and increase the use of merchants and healers found in zones. Also, we felt it broke immersion if, while in the middle of a deep difficult dungeon, you can just simple pop back to town, heal to full, buy 10 elixirs, then warp back to the boss' room.
