Mirage sprinted down the hall, a look of panic on her face. Her eyes darted around, trying to catch a look at each door, attempting to figure out what room the meeting was to be held. Damn it, I'm probably late!
Fortunately, she found the door after a minute or so, but she knew by now she was already late. Quickly, she tossed open the door, gasping for air as she nearly tripped over her untied shoe laces.
Seeing the many stares on her, she smiled sheepishly. "Um, hi?"

Giving a weird glance at the chipmunk, she sat down at the table, glancing around at the others. She ducked her head a bit as her face flared up with red from embarrassment. Mirage hid behind her wavy, dark brown hair as she snuck another brief look around.

The man said looking about at all the children at the table. Darci was starting at her lap, shaking from fear. It was clear that she wasn't into all of this and at this rate probably never would be. As usual, the teenage boy scowled, though, it was hardly a surprise. "You want to know about my day? Would you like version A or B? Version A is the honest version, version B is the one where I pretend that I'm just so freaking ecstatic to be here." he replied, looking at everyone at the table. He narrowed his eyes at the furry creature on the table but didn't bother saying anything.
