"Umm.... Zorua's been my companion since I was seven. It was injured and when I found it- my family nursed it back to health." She moved closer, taking the Zorua from his arms. "Sorry about that."

Brea heard the slight sound of footsteps and spun, looking around wildly for anyone else who could be there. Her heart rate sped up. Could my parents have followed me?

Serenity gasped. The sun was just beginning to rise at this point, allowing her to see the sharp turn of the two people nearby. She froze up, completely terrified. Her solos is stepped up to protecting its trainer, attacking with a psyshock attack, aimed at the Zorua, then nudging Serenity forward, dragging her to run past.

As Serenity made her escape, Rhys grabbed Brea's hand, dragging her along. "That was a smart move she made, attacking a dark type with a psychic type attack as a distraction, bring no harm to either side" Rhys noted as they ran after her.

Still dazed and a bit surprised at the attack, Brea let him pull her. "Yeah- that was- Zorua, are you alright?"

"Zo-Rua!" A voice chirped, although it was hard to see the small pokemon because of it's black fur. Brea smiled.

"Okay, good." She pulled her hand out of the boy's grasp, and started running. "I never introduced myself. I'm Brea Walker."

"I'm Rhys" he introduced himself, not too fond of giving his last name due to the fact he hated being compared to his big sister. He loved her, but he still hated being compared to her as if he wasn't his own person.

The two caught up the the girl when she tripped over her dress, rolling as she hit the ground.

Brea crouched next to the girl. "Who are you?" She demanded, then, realizing how she had sounded, softened her voice. "Are you okay?" She scanned the girl's clothing, noticing the clothes were slightly nicer than Brea's shorts, hoodie, and boots.

Zorua scampered around the girl in a circle, stopping near her face. It let out a few yelps, as if threatening her, but sat down.

The let out a quiet shriek, partially scooting and partially rolling away. "Stop! Get away from me!" She cried, pulling her sun hat over her face. "Reunu! Do something!" She cried. The solosis went into her arms, using hidden power (bug) on the Zorua who had scared its trainer.

"Zorua!" Brea ran over and held the ball of fur. She looked at the girl. "He didn't mean to scare you, you didn't have to react like that!" She glared, gathering the Zorua in her arms. It was shivering, from fear mostly.

The girl stood up again, not listening as she darted away, stumbling slightly as she took her hat off her face.

"Well, that's just about the most terrified person I've ever seen" Rhys sighed. "Anyways, today is the day I get my first Pokmon, I'm getting it from professor juniper herself!" Rhys told her with pride. Anyways, we should probably just leave that girl alone, I feel like yelling at her will only make all this worse." He said, starting to walk towards Nuvema town.

An Oshawott ran over to Rhys, beaming happily

"Huh? An Oshawott? What's this doing here?" Rhys wondered, picking up the oshawott.

Serenity had finally arrived in Nuvema town, completely exhausted, barely able to walk. She collapsed outside the lab, Reunu tried to get her to stand up, but ultimately failed. Reunu then went into the lab, urging the professor to get up.

"What's this? A solosis? What are you doing here? Do you need help?" Juniper asked, three Pokmon trailing behind her. When she came outside, she saw Serenity collapsed on the ground. "Oh my gosh! What happened?" The professor asked as she picked up the girl, bringing her inside.
