It's a mystery game XD I'm just using the qitari as an example for the lost pet.

The griffi sits down and watches as you heal her wounds.
"Did you see a qitari anywhere by any chance?" Audrey asked the griffi. The griffi nodded and Audrey's eyes brightened. "Was it alone?" She asked, the griffi shook her head. Audrey's eyes grew wide, "So someone was with it?" The griffi nodded."Someone stole him!" She wailed.

Audrey let's not freak out we don't know if he was.

The griffi stops at the edge of the forest. The griffi begins sniffing around but cannot tell where the qitari went next. There were three houses nearby, each of them were about the same size.
"Those are my friends' houses! But why would the trail lead to their-" Audrey paused for a second then gasped. She covered her hands over her face and went silent.

Audrey takes a deep breath. "I can't believe one of my friends would do this." Her gaze falls to the floor and she sighs. She began to smile, despite the tears in her eyes.
"Well, we have gone so far now, there's no point in turning back. Which house should we go to first?" There is a black house, a pink house, and a light red house.

You knock on the door of the black house. A boy slowly twists the doorknob.
His eyes closed in disappointment, he begins to speak. "George, stop bothering me! I told you I didn't want your stupid company and-" He trails off as his eyes open and land on you and Audrey. He grows silent, then a fanged smile spreads across his face.
"Audrey," He says through gritted teeth, "who's this?"
Audrey smiled and twisted her tied up hair. "Hiya, Max. I lost my sylesti, so this detective is going to help me!"
"That's great," he muttered. He grabbed Audrey's arm and pulled her aside. You could barely hear his faint whispering. "and you had to bring the detective here why? I kind of have a bad reputation around here, and don't forget I'm on the run."
Audrey fell silent and walked back next to you. A forced smile remained on Max's face. "Well, you see I haven't stolen anything so you should go now."
