The beast's ears perked forward at the distant sound of a human's voice. Skipper couldn't hear the voice he only being a human and all, but the way that Oni's eyes changed from a green to the red back to the green told him that someone was out there that the creature didn't favor. "Easy now Oni..." The boy cooed placing a hand on the animals shoulder before he walked forward. Through on of the closed doors came a very muffled voice, it sounded almost human in a way. "Hello?" The boy called knocking on the door. "Is someone in there?" With thundering and clicking paw and talon steps Oni made its way to the boy lowering its head in rammed the door pushing it forward out of the way. Skipper smiled up at the beast, pleased that it had been willing to help. Carefully he slipped through the doorway, though Oni could not follow. "Hello the boy called again as he was thrown into darkness of a cold shadow. There in the middle of the room sat a girl, whom seemed to be upset. "Are you alright miss?" The boy asked hearing Oni's lonely howls from behind him. The beast clawed at the door sticking its head through. Its eyes turned a bright red at the sight of the girl and a growl rattled the ground. A paw swung forward though it couldn't reach the human. "Oni! Stop! She's a friend don't hurt her!" The boy yelled petting the beasts face.

"Hi I'm Angela...... Who are you?" She asked carefully as her body shook in fear. "What do you want?........... please don't hurt me........" Shadow snorted and stood up. He managed to stand up for the first time. Suddenly the chains were gone and he was free.

"You shall not harm this human scum!" Shadow roared at the creature. "I may not favor humans but I don't participate in killing young hatchlings even if it's a human hatchling." All that was heard was a roar and that was all.

"Skipper, ma'am." The boy said offering her a hand to help her up. "I see they got you as well, they left the marks on your face instead of your arms like they did mine." With that the small boy pulled her to her feet the best he could while being so little. She was a good two heads taller than him and looked to be older to. Strange how the boy was so much braver than the girl even if she was older. Oni whimpered watching with its new expressionless face, the eyes without pupils turning back to their normal colors. "It's alright Oni, she a good guy." The animal seemed to nearly understand him for it pulled its head back, its ears folded close to its head as it did. Shaking Oni fluffed its fur back out and took a seat watching the boy through the crack in the door. Skipper looked behind the girl finding the large dragon that was trapped there. "Who's that?" He asked towards the girl before walking past her to see the animal. Hand out stretched he walked towards it. "Easy now boy, I ain't going to hurt you." The boy smiled looking up at the dragon. "You'er hurt too, just like Oni."

Shadow made the surroundings go completely black and the only thing of shadow that was seen was his red eyes. "Puny humans!" Shadow growled. But all that came out to them was a growl but Angela heard the dragon.

"I am not puny!" Angela snapped at shadow. "Sorry......... I am Angela." She bowed respectively.

The boy stepped forward holding hand out to the dragon, no longer afraid of the animals. Oni's low whines crushed his heart some as he looked back at the beast. "Oni, it's alright, don't be afraid." Skipper said with a smile before looking at the girl. "Can you help me get him free? I don't think he likes being trapped like this..." The boy looked at the dragon in wonder. How come she hadn't helped him? He clearly needed help, just like Oni.

"Okay......" Angela goes over to the wall of the temple.

Shadow roared in anger. He snapped at Oni. How could there be such an ignorant creature! He should be running from humans!

One growled from outside the room where it was stuck. It was so much larger than the dragon, did it really think it could take it on? Foolish. "Bad dragon!" Skipper scolded before he put a small hand on the dragons shoulder and pulled himself up onto its back where he pulled the lever. After struggling for a moment the chain popped off and fell to the ground with a loud bang. "Now many e if you and Oni work together then you can get the door opened."

"I can't burn the metal!" Angela said. Shadow snorted and laughed. This girl was pathetic.

"What? Why would you be able to do that?" Skipper asked worried about the girls mental state. "All they have to do is pull the door opened since Oni couldn't do it alone. If the dragon pulls from this side and Oni pushes then the door should come open." The boy peered the dragons head before hopping down. "You're free now." He told the animal while walking back to Oni whom greeted him with a fuzzy nose to pet. "I wasn't gone that long!" The boy laughed petting the things nose.

Shadow collapsed in exhaustion. "You humans........... ugh........." Shadow muttered.

"It's okay......." Angela said. "I don't want to harm you I want you be your friend." Angela came to his face and looked him hard in the eyes. Angela then puts her arms around Shadow's neck as best as she could.

"You........... ugh........ what have I gotten myself into......." Shadow growled to himself.
