Space bear was actually the name given to star wars episode viii during production XD
Arktos is bear in Latin, and the word Artic actually means bearish. Water Bears (Tardigrade) can survive in space for 10 or more days. Enough random facts though XD

Name ideas:
Bolide (A really bright meteor that normally makes a sonic boom)
Nebula (A cloud of dust and gas in space, usually illuminated by one or more stars. Nebulae represent the raw material the stars are made of.)
Nova (A star that flares up to several times its original brightness for some time before returning to its original state.)
