Bunny and Meama, you have a week to prepare, so (1) start hoarding your gold, (2) make sure you have plenty of stable space, (3) level up your fighting pets, (4) get your fighting pets the best Equipment you can afford, and (5) purchase a supply of the highest-level Traps you can afford. Number 5 is extremely important.

Oh, no, Meama, I'm sorry if I wasn't clear! I didn't mean that at all. These are things you can do now in order to get the most fun out of the Festival once it starts. It's certainly not required. These are the things I wish I had known to do in the week leading up to my first Festival.
