Flash Flash Slow Phase (FFSP) awoke to find herself at the base of a very tall tree. Her head hurt. A faint scent wafted her way. It was like...eww...rot. Where was the Hive trail? Oh no. Oh no. Frantically, she flew her way up the tree and above the canopy line. Where were they? How could they leave her behind?! She proudly emitted her colours to the open sky as if to say "I am the Light Bearer! How dare you forget about me!" flash! flash! phase! Yet there was no response. She flew back down to a wayward branch and tried to clear her panicked thoughts.

Vixen was looking out of the window, scanning the nearby area. Everything looked ok here, no partially dead beings slinking about. As she was looking she noticed a glow in the distance, she wondered what it could be, she's seen this kind of flash before but she never knew what it was...She heard the door click open and her owner was walking out! In a panic she rushed up to her owner and barked! She had no way of telling her it was unsafe outside. Her owner just told her to be quiet, patted her on the head and left. She couldn't stop her. She started pacing around the house in anticipation.

Koru stopped for a minute and ran back down to the park without thinking ,she knew she was strong but she didn't know the zombies creatures were almost invinsable.She barged into one of the Zombies and then got pushed right back.Wow there strong she thought.

Vixen couldn't wait around any longer she ran out through the back door and leaped over the gate, her owner was long gone though, it looks like she had taken the car. Her ears pricked up as she heard screaming coming from the park, she ran towards it without thinking. As she got there she noticed that the park was filled with undead syesti. ''Oh no!'' She exclaimed She saw a young syesti getting attacked so she barged the attacker out of the way and slumped the hatchling onto her back and with that she ran back. She couldn't take the sight of the horror for any longer!

Koru looked around the park and saw an older zolnixi running to somewhere. Hey you she said but got no notice.

FFSP absently flew through the forest, trying to get her bearings and figure out where the Hive Scent Trail went. It was either totally dead, or completely masked by the growing smell of corpses.Yuck. She tried to remember...She was with a gathering party, and they must have been searching for food at night, that must be why she was with them. That's right. She was the designated Light. What were they searching for? Food that grows at night...Ah, Mossflower blooms in the evening. Delicious Mossflower... such a potent aroma. Stop! Focus! She chided. We went near some caves...and then...

Suddenly her train of thought was ripped from her as she spotted a bunch of shapes running below her. The forest had evened out into a flatland of sorts. The bad rot smell had intensified something horrific. She saw two Zolnixi (one on the others back) being chased by a large group of...dead things? She flew down to get a closer look at them. Fascinating. Disgusting. Dead things. As she got close, one of them bit at her antennae, but she narrowly dodged. How dare it! Disgusting thing! Her body flashed crimson, as her aggressive smell seeped into the air. She jabbed at the zombie with her abdomen, but it was too strong. The other Zombies made towards her, and she darted into the safety of a nearby tree, all the while staring at the horrible dead things.

Vixens chest was pounding even though she is quick she isn't strong so the weight of a particularily large zolnixi pup was a lot of effort to carry. She couldn't jump over the gate with it though! It was just too heavy! She could see, hear and even smell the putridge scent that the disgusting creatures produced. They were getting closer, advancing with each breath. She was struggling to get the pup over the gate, one zombie was particularly fast and it had almost caught up with her. She shoved the pup over the gate and quickly clambered behind, her strength was diminishing fast. With the last of her energy she dragged the pup through the dog flap and then collapsed to the floor. The pup lay limp next to her, but, thanks to her it was alive.

When the zombies went to someplace and they were gone she followed the footprints that were still there and finally arrived at the little house where she thought the zolnixi she saw earlier.She ran through the flap and saw the two zolnixi's she saw earlier.Hello she said politly.

Vixen was shocked by the sudden arrival, hopping to feet in a state of panic, expecting the worst. ''Oh, you're not un-dead, thank goodness! You had me scared for a second, there was a hoard out there just a few minutes ago,'' she looks towards the clock. ''Make that several hours ago, I must have passed out,'' she said with an embarrassed expression.

FFSP saw a third Zolnixi sniffing at the ground as it followed the other two. Has this one lost its Hive? The poor thing reeked of fear - as did the two others before it. FFSP followed the Zolnixi back to the house and hid inside a small/broken part of the roof. This is their Hive? Phase Phase would have a fit if he saw the state of this mess! FFSP resolved to try and communicate with the Zolnixi or steal that delicious smelling food coming from somewhere in the house. They might know where the big moss cave is.

((Also it just occurred to me that if my lunemara is deaf then how is she still able to talk to herself? Gah! Maybe I should try making the thoughts less verbal.))
