Mhm, they are theoretically the next head - but that's dependant on the current head of the house. If they were already next in line while the old heads were alive, then they're the heads now (probably after a coronation, leaving some time for the throne to be contested until they are officially ruled in). But if they're the next in line now, like after the old heads were succeeded after the murder, then they have to wait until the current heads die, right o0 So I assume that in our current forms for character, when we use 'crown' we're assuming that they were the next in line while the old heads were alive.

Yeah, crown ... implies that they are were next in line before the old head died. Theoretically they are now the new head unless someone else decides to try and take the power
Last names of the nobles is the name of the house! Commoners can have last names if you want but they do not have to
It's going to start a week after the deaths, on the (previous) 83rd anniversary of peace.
And yeah, people powers would involve that, but not actually controlling or influencing people's emotions.

She has white hair and blue eyes. She is a lot shorter than her brother. (yes, it's Rin Kagamine, shut up :P)
History: No one knows whether Lynx or Grey was born first, so no one can say who is the rightful ruler. Lynx had it hard for many years. Her father always favoured Grey, as the male, and paid her little attention. It wasn't until she developed her powers that any of the hierarchy of her house really paid her any attention. Grey and Lynx were then trained as a team, but conflict still occurs as to who should rightfully rule between the two of them.
Personality: Far more reserved than Grey, she doesn't let many people in. She's shy and comes off as very cold to strangers. When she gets to know someone, she is very caring and loyal until the end. She tries to appear confident in front of others (and usually succeeds) but she's very self conscious.
Strengths: Her powers, quick thinking, team work with her brother
Weaknesses: Not very physically strong, finds it difficult to make allies
Likes: The night sky, small animals, the colour blue

History: Although it is not known if Grey was the first born, he was treated as one for much of his life. He didn't like seeing his sister brushed aside as though she meant nothing, ans was glad that she developed powers over ice. He grew up with relatively few hardships, although is often looked down on since he didn't inherit any powers.
Personality: Light hearted and cheerful, he takes a lot of things like a joke. He is kind, and wants to do as much as he can to ensure other people's happiness. He hates conflict. He also likes teasing his sister, but he never really means it.
Strengths: Very good at throwing knives, quick thinking, team work with his sister
Weaknesses: Tries to avoid fighting at all costs, never throws the first punch, too trusting
Likes: Annoying his sister, forests, the colour blue
Dislikes: Anyone else annoying his sister, the cold, seafood

History: She was raised like any other maid, her mother and her having a small room to themselves in the main house of Savali. Her mother often left in the middle of the night, only to come back in the morning. Until one night she didn't. The old head of the house informed her that her mother had been working as a spy for the house, finding dissenters in the quarter. He told her that she would now have to fill in her mother's place at the age of 13. She began secret training at night and has been working as a spy for the house for the last two years.
Personality: Very untrusting and suspicious of everyone. She relates to people quite well, which gives them a false sense of security. She generally shies away from forming attachments to people, because she knows she's likely to betray them later. Very detached, but doesn't really have any moral reservations about her job. She'd rather spy than be starving on the streets or in the mines. This is not necessarily because she is selfish, she is simply realistic and blunt. However, she secretly resents the noble houses for making her turn against fellow Commoners
Strengths: Very good at sneaking around and blending in with a crowd, inconspicuous, fast, can easily put on a false persona
Weaknesses: Has pretty much no friends, doesn't fight well in open spaces

History: Cami was kept in isolation from most of her family for her own protection. She grew up only seeing her father a few times a year, and her siblings even less. She wasn't aware of the tension between the houses and doesn't understand much about warfare. She often was sad that she couldn't see her family, and therefore put on an overly happy persona.
Personality: Bubbly and enthusiastic. She is almost always smiling. She's idealistic, and wants everyone to just get along. Also is brutally naive and doesn't always understand things. However, despite her appearance she is quite intelligent, and is quick to understand strange concepts. She just isn't the greatest at understanding people. She also is very clingy, and wants what's left of her family to acknowledge her existence
Strengths: Quick to catch on, good at hiding, resilient and persistent
Weaknesses: Naive, no fighting skills
Likes: Smiling, sugary foods, dark red
Dislikes: Irrational fear of horses, loud noises

History: Was orphaned at a young age, and lived on the streets for a few years. Soon he was taken in by an old man who made things out of wood. The old man was one of the most renowned craftsmen in Farol, and is very well respected. He is also well known for taking in street kids. Shadi then grew up learning a new skill, yet always dreaming for more. On his 11th birthday, he was given the violin which he had been assisting in crafting. He immediately sought out a teacher and learnt quickly how to play well. He occasionally has played for the Farol heads.
He began seeing dark red wings behind people after the heads of the houses were killed.He didn't know what it meant, as they only appeared behind some people he spoke to, and only at particular times. Eventually he realised that the wings only appeared when someone was lying. He was weirded out by his new ability, but is trying to make it work in his favour
Personality: Ambitious and enterprising, he feels as though there is more to life than simply working as a craftsman. He is adventurous and willing to try anything new. Occasionally can be described as hyper when he gets excited, although most of the time he is rather chilled. He is very self confident, almost cocky, and has faith in his abilities.
Strengths: Can shoot a bow and arrow (learnt by playing with the ones in the wood working store), confident, can be seen as charming
Weaknesses: Overestimates himself, can be seen as full of himself, nosy
Likes: Music, making things, the colour green
Dislikes: Mirrors, confined spaces, silence

owh =3= that makes so much more sense. For now though, I'll leave Marethyu's ability as Empathy, but i'll remember that he can't do all the controlling/influencing of emotions. Or things that basically say 'hey, this is your character, but since my character has this power, you character has to....'

So yeah! This will be exciting! But wait.... anything in the shadow manipulation that's considered as god-mod or something @_@ All I can assume is her controlling shadows...sort of like another of my characters? I can't think much with my headache to give a proper explanation, so.... well, here's the power ability I sort of had in mind.

To be specific, everything to do with shadows - he has near perfect shadow manipulation, which allows for things such as turning into a shadow himself, creating living shadows to obey his will or simply 'solidifying', for lack of a better word, shadows to use as weapons and such. It is...difficult to place his ability in words.


Is that ok? I'll probably be able to clarify if I confused you in a bit, as said, headache and all @_@ -remind me never to sleep past 1am >>-

My thinking is they can solidify shadows, use them to pick up things and to attack, can control them. Possibly can become a shadow but I feel like that would be an advanced technique. The limitation of the power being that you cannot create shadows out of nowhere, there has to be darkness already. They also cannot use shadows to control people (like Shikamaru in Naruto), because, again, I personally don't think that makes for good rping :) But yeah, it's mainly about controlling shadows, just as the Kalayo is about controlling fire, or Pagos is about controlling ice. If they didn't have oxygen or water, they couldn't create fire or ice, so if Savali characters don't have darkness, they can't create shadows... does that make sense? :)

You can make characters with powers, just try and make some that don't have powers.
The first borns are the people who are immediately next in line to be head of the house following the murders of the previous heads. So like with the with England, Prince Charles is the first born of the Queen, and therefore he is next in line if something happened to the queen... does that make sense? :)
