I would love to join. Confused by the "if you make a male, make a female. vice versa" rule
as far as that rule, it's there to try and set even ratios for the genders, so that one or the other isn't outnumbered. it's alright to join with just one character, as long as the ratio is only slightly off.
i'll have my intro post up in a little bit :3

stepping out of her small apartment with her bag hung over her shoulder, Karuma headed along her morning route to the park. it was a struggle for her at first, living alone, but eventually she got used to it. she now had a pet dog, and learned to ignore the occasional glances strangers gave her when she passed them. pulling her headphones over her ears and turning on her iPod, the salmon haired girl strode through the park. she eventually arrived at her favorite tree at sat down at its base, crossing her legs and pulling a notepad out of her bag. taking out a pencil, she opened to a blank page and began to sketch.

Star walked out of school, the day had just finished but they had extra work to do. Star happily began to solve math equations, she wore a hat no matter the time of year to hide her Wolf Ears, and the teachers never questioned her so that was a bonus. Even though she lived alone in the forest, she had always enjoyed school for some strange reason. Her "Friends" would always make fun of her for her love of school, but they didn't know that she could easily turn into a wolf and eat them.

Zumi happily skipped around in the park knowing that Yoshi was behind her. She always felt extra energetic after swimming around. She glanced at a tree as she walked around it stopping when she saw a girl reading. She smiled to herself backing up to where she couldn't see her. She glanced back at her brother smiling a little deviously. He might not like her plan but he really needed to talk to someone other then her, and not just about the importance of her swimming every day. She was honestly tired of it.
name | Yoshi Hamasaki | species | Shape shiftier
Yoshi walked over to his sister seeing her stop. "What's with that look?" He asked his little sister walking over to her running his fingers through his still damp hair. He really didn't like her look. "There's a girl behind this tree and you are going to talk to her." She said teasingly. Yoshi groaned shaking his head. "Enough of this Zum. Let's get home before they're worried." He said starting to walk again. He felt something hit his ankle making him fall right next to the reading girl on his chest and arms, his scarf brushing her leg.

Tying her hair back and putting her phone in the inner pocket of her track jacket, Norekko exits the apartment that she's living in. It isn't long before she's glaring at people who glance at her for a little too long. But for her, a little too long is any look at all. She begins to jog down the sidewalk, the same thing she does every day before heading to a general store to buy some chips or some other snack. Humming to herself and sitting on one of the few unoccupied benches, she decided that today she'd stay for a bit in the park, watching the small birds and other common park animals. And maybe watch the people in the park too. As much as she resents social interaction, the behavior of others interests her.

Sky sighed. Being around humans was boring. They looked at her funny, apologied when their dogs licked her, or cowered or barked. They were only doing the right thing after all. They knew what she was even if their owners didn't. Sometimes she wondered if she should go back to the forest but she decided that she liked showers too much.
The part was full of life today. People were walking dogs, kids were playing. But something was off. Some of the people weren't human.

[ Argenta and Katsumi ]
The day had started as usual - with a nasty spat between the four dragons. Argenta, always the fastest to anger, was out of the house within minutes of the fight erupting, soon followed by her youngest brother, then friend, leaving the only sane of the four to look after the house for the day. Yup, it was a normal, uneventful day. Until she ran into that distasteful acquaintance of hers, another shapeshifter by the name of 'Ishida Katsumi'.
"Still blowing things up?" Loathing laced her voice, but the male, despite having met her but a mere five times, was used to it. He'd learn from her brother shortly after that Argenta, the loving girl she is, detested nearly every other living being but her family and sole friend. And even then, they weren't treated very warmly. It was all due to her protectiveness, Geraint had said, and human betrayal that changed her. Heck, he'd even gone so far as to say she had been nice, and that was information Katsumi was willing to bet was false. Such a spiteful girl as her couldn't have had a shred of kindness in her - but who was he to judge?
"At least I'm not the one who is in danger of setting this park ablaze and revealing to the world that supernaturals live here." Katsumi hissed back softly, a mixture of anger and sarcasm in his voice. As much as he disliked Argenta, he liked Geraint, and the Gold Dragon had said once before that despite the family problems, anyone who treated her unfairly would earn his ire. Katsumi had to tread carefully here, but with Argenta's fiery temper... he'd might as well just make sure she didn't anger further. "That said, you'll need to calm down - anger isn't one of the best emotions to feel for a shapeshifter."
"You think I'm that daft? Please, if it came down to it, I would beat you at a game of Go."
"And I don't doubt that. You've proven your intelligence on more than one occasion. However, a reminder wouldn't hurt every now and then. Even the smartest needed to be reminded." Argenta huffed, but Katsumi could see she was calming down. Good, albeit a bit strange. It tended to take more than him to chill her nerves.
"Fair enough, Ishida. I've been tired recently, and it's aided me none in maintaining my calm. Perhaps a reminder was what I needed." Geraint had mentioned that Argenta acted weirdly when exhuasted - and so had Velskud. They weren't kidding, the Silver Dragon wasn't acting as usual. But for now, it was working in his favour, so there was no real reason to complain. "It's been impossible to sleep with the worries I burden. Geraint surprises me, I'll need to learn from him how to be so calm, that I'll admit. Come, Katsumi, it'll do me some good to make another friend, and I see no reason why not to start with my brother's."
...It was going to be a strange day indeed, at least for Katsumi, as the black haired male silently and hesitantly followed his companion. He wouldn't mind befriending her, but he was worried about the process of such. The stories he'd heard from the others were...less than comforting. It didn't help that Argenta didn't seem... right. However, he had received word from Geraint that an 'incident' had occurred, so he assumed that was the root of Argenta's mildly unsettling behaviour today. And honestly? If given a choice between the current Argenta and the one of the past... he'd happily choose the fiery, sharp-tongued, protective girl any day.

[ Kristoph ]
Something didn't feel...right. From his bones to his teeth was the incessant tingling sensation Kristoph had come to associate with a gut feeling that just screamed 'wrong'. Gritting his teeth, Kristoph raced back to grab an extra handgun and magazine, silently slipping them into his bag before heading out again, ignoring his remaining family's questions. He'd worry about them later, right now, he was sure one of those pesky demons was nearby - and he'd kill them even if it meant his life. But first, he'd had to find it, and that was the usual hard part.
While the more... prestigious hunters, guild or family, had equipment to sniff out those non-humans, the Abends' had lost the right to such technology the moment those beasts killed their leading hunters - Kristoph's mom and dad. And this only fuelled Kristoph's rage, both towards the hunter community, and the supernatural one - specifically the mysterious supernaturals who had claimed his parents' lives on that night so many years ago. He'd find them, he swore, then torture and slowly kill them, enjoying every last moment of it. For the way they had murdered his parents, it was only fair.
And his grip on one of his hidden guns tightened as he stalked down the streets on Lansworth Avenue, just three blocks away from the nearest park. A good thing too - the serenity of the location did a lot of good for frayed nerves, and with the uneasy feeling clenched in his gut, Kristoph needed the peacefulness like a druggie needing drugs. An uneasy and conflicted hunter was only easy prey for supernaturals, after all, and Kristoph couldn't have that.
"Kristoph!"
Said male couldn't help but inwardly groan at the voice, and the pitter-patter of feet that followed in the ensuing silence. "What is it, sis?" He had managed to keep the ire away from his voice, but from the look on his sister's face, he knew all too well that he had failed at hiding his annoyance. Now, he'd just have to pray this didn't make her displeased enough to cook anchovies for dinner that night.
"Voran. He wanted to follow you." A dull, pointed look as she held out the leash to him, and Kristoph gulped. Yup, she was annoyed too. Great. "I'll still cook normally, don't worry, but do remember, Krissy, that I do expect you to tell us if anything bothers you. Got it?"
A quick, stiff nod in reply as he grabbed the leash, before bolting down the street towards the park as his sister's bell-like laughter rang out behind him. Darn, she was terrifying.

Hearing voices behind her on the other side of the tree, Karuma paused. She looked up from her sketchbook in time to see a boy with dampened hair fall next to her. Her crimson eyes drifted to his scarf, which had brushed against her leg upon his falling. The boy looked to be clear of injuries, but she figured it was better just to ask. "You okay?", she mentioned, briefly going back to her sketch. She was working on a howling wolf, which you could clearly see had immense detail woven into its fur and muzzle.

Yoshi sighed pushing himself up sitting down glaring back at his sister. "Yeah. Thanks for asking." He said before sighing again. "You wouldnt happen to want to buy a little sister would you?" He jokingly asked her before Izumi yelled. "Hey! I resent that!" She walked around the tree smiling at the girl. "Hi! I'm Izumi and this bore is Yoshi!" She said smirking at her brother as he sighed again a little frustrated with her goofiness. She looked down at her notepad. "Ooh! That's so cool!" She said sitting down right next to her on the opposite side of Yoshi. "Yoshi, look at it! Isn't it awesome?!" Yoshi looked apologetically at the girl before glancing at the drawing, knowing that if he didn't Zumi would grab it and make him look at it. "You are a very good artist." He said to the girl to appease his sister.

At the mention of buying his sister, Karuma grinned, lightly shaking her head. "No thanks. I have plenty of those." When his sister skirted around the tree, the werewolf shifted her gaze between the two. She gave a slight nod, acknowledging their introduction. "Nice to meet you guys. I'm Karuma. So, di-" Cut off by Izumi, her reddened orbs followed the girl's position then flickered down to the notebook in her lap. Glancing at Yoshi, she gave another slight nod. "Thanks." With a pause, she closed the book and put it back in her bag, along with her pencil. "So, do you guys draw?"
