we must be talking about different things : I'm talking about google privacy and copyright policies. When you upload an image on google plus (or any other google means, you, at the same time, give google the ownership of the photograph. So, even if you don't share it yourself, google, being legitimate owner of the picture, can do it himself.
EDIT : it's not ownership per se, : "By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services."

Thanks for the info, I won't be posting anymore art on Google plus. I'm kind of proud of what I do and to me, Google taking my art as their own would feel like plagiarism :/ (that sounds so harsh, eek!) what I mean is, what I do is special and significant to me. It's personalized, and it's as unique as my handwriting. Being so inportant to me to keep practicing it, creating it, and discovering it, I'm protective of my finished products. So if it's understandable, I don't want sites taking it like a blank piece of paper and manipulating it :/ does that make sense? (Oh just letting ya know none of this is directed at you. Thanks for informing me on picture site rules)

I know, I feel the same about my art. Just remember that these kind of policies are nearly the same for every social media (facebook, twitter and so on) Actually, it's becoming a problem for online artists, because there are an increasing number of copyright infringement, and the law of most countries are pretty lax (and even if they aren't, since the internet is a mondial thing, it's easy to evade the countries law)
Just be sure to read the copyright and ownership policies of the site you use =)

Thanks so much for all the information, I MIGHT make another art thread once I have a safe operating laptop and way to upload the pictures here, but for now it's gonna have to fall :/ if this comes back it will likely be in the school year. My school provides laptops for our online work. Thanks again I'm really glad I know that now. (I think I've read it before somewhere but I have this "selective hearing" issue...sometimes I only here what I want to hear, it's something I'm working on)

Yeah, I hate this is a problem. I'm very reluctant on where I post. I've had a dA for a few years now. Do you know anything about their copyright policy is currently. I hope they can't use my art for themselves. At least without my permission >.>

No. At no time do you lose ownership of your original work by submitting it to deviantART.
The Submission Agreement explicitly states that you, as the original artist, retain any and all rights appropriate to your artwork at all times. By agreeing to the Submission Agreement what you are really doing is granting deviantART the basic permissions we need in order to display, showcase, promote and otherwise make your artwork available to viewers using the wide range of different devices and services which are capable of connecting to the Internet.
Taken on dA help and faq ^^
So the big difference here, is : You give them royalties, sure (just like google) However, they can't modify it And there is no mention about the royalties being perpetual or irrevocable. Which means if you remove it, they don't keep it.
And you have to think about other things too : it gives you visibility (advertisement). That's why a lot of artists still post on facebook or twitter You just have to weight down the plus and minus I guess. For example, on dA, there's a guy who made a (very good) parody of the simpsons in anime style. It's called the Simpsonzu, you may have seen it around the internet. It was seen everywhere for a while, then eventually, the guy got a job, thanks to it to be part of the "avatar, the last airbender" crew ^^

Wow, that part about the artist getting a job on the freaking Avatar the Last Airbender is just so great!
And that's what I remember from the copyright policy there. I looked up a long time ago, just couldn't remember exactly what it was lol
I sometimes post picture of what I'm working on my facebook, though, but now I'm kinda of afraid just to do that >->
