I HATE pop-ups, but this is one I wold fully support. I lost a nice little WC Luffox to this, and the person refused to sell him back to me. It is wayyyy too easy to put the number on the wrong line on that pop-up.

Or maybe the sell/breeding fee pop-up is the problem here? I still don't like that you can either name or price from that pop-up but not both. If it's on the same pop-up, it should be able to do both.

And the sell line and the breeding fee line should be separated more, so it's not so easy to do this. This happens often enough it is obviously a problem, so it needs to be fixed, somehow.

I... can't say I'd support this suggestion as-is.

I breed themed pets. THIOUSANDS of themed pets. Meaning up to 200 eggs hatched in a DAY. And of those, usually at least 10% are put up for sale, sometimes more depending on how they hatch.


I'd be spending even more time copy/pasting "un-named" just for setting up sale pets. (And I already spend at least an hour or two on most mornings between hatching, testing, checking traits by image codes because the admins still haven't put recessives on profiles of tested pets, and from there, naming, releasing, or setting the pet for sale.)



Easier solution... A much better separation of sales and breeding. Rather than Prices for both, then below that User Id's on both...

Segment for Breeding. BIG BOLD LETTERS FOR BREEDING.
Segment for Sales. BIG BOLD LETTERS FOR SELLING.

And add in the little symbols used on the stables, just to give that added visual marker for what's what. Like the example below.

Hummmmm. I see your reasoning. I think maybe we should also add that it would be great to set up multiple pets at a time or maybe also have this extra pop-up be able to turn off in your settings....

The Manage Pet pop-up should be revamped to be more user-friendly when the site is revamped. I lost a PB BC Griffi that had a couple carrieds to this, and the pet was released for the release event. :/

Rather than pop-up, I think it'd be better if there are two tabs; breeding and selling like the ones we have in inventory and stable for manage pets, which by default is set to breeding tab. I think it'd be even better if we can set the default tab to selling so players who want to mass selling don't need to click the selling tab over and over again. And I think it'd be even greater if the default tab can be set back to breeding after 30 minutes or so, just in case the players forget to set it back the default tab to breeding.

@Xavion That's a good point! I think even the inclusion of the little hearts and coins would be helpful.

What would really be great is if there was a "mass sell" option like how there's a "mass move" feature. (The only thing is, you'd probably have to set them all to the same price for it to work.)

I'd just end up selling them and I'd rather just give them to a good home. ^^ (But don't feel presured to keep them.)

Well, I did end up finding a second Aeri in the fest later on, but... this way, she can have a mate and I don't feel bad about keeping her all alone.

(And if anyone here wants babies, I can make some?)

On one site I played, there was a "store" page where all the stuff you wanted to sell was listed, and you could go down the line and set the individual prices once you added things to your store. Worked great, was easy to change prices later if you wanted to, and was obvious what you were selling and what you were keeping. I would love a store like this, for pets AND for items. Much easier to keep track of things that way.

And/or a trading post, lol. Both would be ideal.

Whatever we get, I hope it's better than the current system, which seems cumbersome and way too easy to put things on the wrong line and end up selling a pet you wanted to simply put up for breeding.
