It's not really their 3 vis anymore after i have fertilized it with my own fert :p
It's just like as if the egg is a 2 vis because I am the one who added that extra vis to it with my own gold.
So if you're trading a 2 vis of yours for their egg, it is totally still a fair trade. It's fictionally still a 2 vis
Does that make sense? :p
