That works, but what you can also do that works a bit better is click on the item from your inventory, then click on the image of an envelope with an arrow on it. Then you type in the name and amount, and that sends it directly to someones trades.

I just sent you a staff with a CoD of zero in that way. You can see haw easy that is.
(you can keep the staff, it was just an extra one I had)
