The breeding tag thing probably won't happen- major breeders on here really don't like to be limited when it comes to that. Someone came up with a suggestion of having a recovery time on males [time, or maybe after a number of breedings] and others said that the recovery time on females was enough to work around and adding another timer would complicate things too much. There are users who just focus on breeding and have pretty complicated systems set up. They would be very upset if things got switched around too much.
However, there are plans to install a NPC that purchases pets for scales, which would greatly help with the massive number of pets in existence right now. I know that a lot of users are excited for that.

But yeah, I wouldn't want to have to buy tags to breed because, heck, I joined two days after the site went live and I only have 2,230 scales! [I don't nurture very much :P]

Yumi I can understand that :) i ment one tag for the whole game though, sorry for confusion. It would keep people from breeding till they got a tag, like a road only letting so many people on at a time. But yes, I completely understand your point :)

Though perhaps they could have different genes/mutations/colours if possible? After all, that just means one of the twins may be auctioned off/released/sold because the owner does not wish to have two look-a-likes

But honestly, I don't see why you couldn't get either fraternal twins (same father, different egg, so the traits could be different, and the colors different too for that matter) or maternal (identical). I also don't see personally why it would need to be restricted to ones you own. After all, if everyone has an equal chance to get twins, then they have the same chance when breeding to someone else's too. And if someone complained to me about it, I'd just offer them one of the two eggs, lol. Either way i would be happy to see this though.

Oh, and btw, breeding two pets even of tagged pets, often gives you very different results, especially when the traits of the parents are carries. But even colors can swing quite a bit between two different breedings of the same parents. Getting identical twins would be really cool.
