sandwich bread
makes 1 loaf
time ( 3 1/2 hours )
1 heaping teaspoon active dry yeast
1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons white sugar
1-1/4 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons lard, softened
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
3-1/4 cups bread flour
1.In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Stir in lard, salt and two cups of the flour. Stir in the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, beating well after each addition. When the dough has pulled together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
2.Lightly oil a large bowl, place the dough in the bowl and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.
3.Deflate the dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. . Place the laaf into lightly greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cover the loaves with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled in volume, about 2 hours.
4.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
5.Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for about 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bottom of the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.

Ice Cream bread! Blame Arux she got me thinking about bread. Ok So I learned this recipe like.. a week ago but my kids and I have already made something like 4 loaves because it is just that easy and that yummy!
2 cups of ice cream
1 1/2 cups of self raising flour (1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder in plain flour)
Stuffs!
Soo you let the ice cream melt just a little til it's creamy (but not soupy!)
mix in the flour. smoosh into a bread pan (greased with butter!)
I added chocolate chips (because we had Black Raspberry Dark Chocolate ice cream)
put the over on 350 cook for about 40 minutes
so good.
comes out same basic texture as like.. banana bread

snicker doodle cookies
time about 30 min-1hour ( im a lazy cook with these and I freeze half the dough for later or it takes me an hour to bake all )
makes about 4 dozen cookies
Ingredients
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 1/2 cups plus ( divide in separate bowl )2 tablespoons sugar ( the 2 tablespoons you may need more)
2 medium eggs
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon fine salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (add more if needed)
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine the butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and the eggs and mix thoroughly with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy and well combined, 1 to 2 minutes. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt, and stir into the shortening mixture.
In a small bowl, stir together the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with the cinnamon.
Shape the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls (1 tablespoon per ball), and roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar. Arrange the dough balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake two sheets at a time until the edges of the cookies are set but the centers are still soft, 8 to 10 minutes, rotating the sheets halfway through. Transfer the cookies to wire racks for cooling. Repeat with the remaining dough balls. Store in an airtight container.

Cauliflower bake
Ok So if you're like me you have to be low carb for some reason or the other (diabetes in my case) but you would KILL for a loaded baked potato. I found this recipe that totally satisfies the nomming need
1 large head of Cauliflower (although I just use a couple bags of frozen it works)
10 pieces of bacon cooked and chopped up
chives
1/2 cup Mayo
1/2 cup Sour Cream
2 cups shredded cheese of your choice
8 oz container sliced mushrooms
chop your cauli up (unless you're using frozen) boil it and let it cool. (if you're using frozen skip this step :D)
mix sour cream, mayo, half your bacon, a bunch of chives (about 3 tbls) half your cheese and mushrooms together
dump your cauli in, stir stir
grab a baking dish (cake pan w/e) pour it all in.
put the rest of your cheese and bacon on top
bake it at 425 for about 15-20 minutes (make sure your cauli is done if you chose to use frozen :D)
put more chives on top of melty bacony goodness
serve
omnomnom :D

Simple Banana Pancakes
1 Banana
2 eggs
1 bowl
put in bowl.. smoosh the heck out of it til it's one big mixed up stuff
get your pan.. melt some butter (or non-stick spray)
put in one pancake worth of mooshed up banana
fry like a pancake! :D (edges will turn brown, no bubbles like a normal pancake)
flip and fry the other side
I like to serve it with melted PB or chocolate sauce LOL but normal butter and syrup work too ^_^

Desserts! by request :D
Chex Moose Tracks
A box of chex.. or off brand don't matter, I like using rice ones but now that they make chocolate chex omg yes please!
Note.. this is NOT a healthy low calorie dessert (munchie.. snack w/e you wanna call it)
You'll need!
Chex... (about 6 cupsish)
1 cup Chips of choice (chocolate normally but I like it with butterscotch too:D)
1/2 cup Peanut butter (or almond butter... w/e butter they all work good PB works best though)
1 stick of butter
1 tsp vanilla (trick! if you use like.. vanilla chips and peanut butter and put in banana flavoring instead of vanilla you can call them Elvis Tracks instead ;) for his PB and Banana sandwiches it's actually really yummy)
1-2 cups powdered sugar :D
(optional.. chopped up pretzels for the salty awesomeness)
pour chocolate chips PB butter and vanilla in a microwave bowl... throw in microwave.. cook 'em til they melt, stirring ABOUT every 30 seconds (dont' want them to burn!) dump them over the chex :D stir stir (gently please don't smoosh the chex yuck!) stick it in a gallon size ziploc bagging and dump the pwdered sugar over it. Now shake the heck out of it til it's all coated and looks like well... something your dog did in the snow.. if it does congrats it looks right! if you're like me and you like salty AND sweet, you're close :D dump the mix out on a cookie sheet and spread it out, let it dry for about an hour or so, dump it back in your container of choice, and if you want to add some chopped pretzels (or just twisty pretzels) in it and dig in :D

Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake
2 pkg. Cream Cheese, softened
1 pkg. (4 oz.) Bakers Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted, cooled
1/3 cup sugar (PLUS 8 tablespoons sugar** explanation below if using semisweet chocolate NOT NEEDED)
1 tub (8 oz.) Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
1 graham cracker crumb crust
1 can cherry pie filling
** ok If you ONLY HAVE unsweetened bakers chocolate.. you need 8 tablespoons sugar additional in the recipe.
(ZELLY DIRECTIONS. (UNSWEETENED CHOCOLATE)
Ok When you melt your chocolate, mix the 8 tablespoons of sugar in until it's completely dissolved and not gritty. Viola. Semi-sweet chocolate ;)
Now. Mix your cream cheese. chocolate. and sugar together stir stir stir til all combined well stir in -2- cups of your cool whip :D don't mush it to much, just kinda fold it all together
scoop into your crust, spin the crust (this is a trick for any pie, it evens out the pie filling so it gets to the edges without smooshing it around)
fridge for 3 hours with you pie!
when it comes out, spoon little blobs of the rest of the whip cream on the outside edges of the pie like a little dam. Fill the inside of your whip cream dam with cherry filling :D YAY! chocolate cherry cheesecake yum yum
