Missions: Wufei is a big problem here he just won't succeed in his level 10 mission so he's not leveling up much. I'm being tutored by someone from the site on Proficiency things.
Missions are based on stats. In the top left corner of the mission window, there's a "recommended stat" for each mission, which can either be health, strength, intelligence, dexterity, or agility. As the difficulties get harder, it'll be harder to succeed with missions with low stats that it asks for.
What most people do is get 5 different pets, one to allocate points purely in each stat, and get them to go on the missions that suits them.
I know several people who don't mind giving out pets.

Xelfi was level 18 and Wufei level 16 on my first try. Neither even made a dent and both died with 2 attack from the guy and his two lackeys.
I asked a friend for tips and they told me to get what's currently attached to my pets for better work and I proceeded to use rpg logic and level up.
When Xelfi was 21 and Wufei 19 I tried again with the current equipment and some added level up extra's and lasted even shorter than the try before.
My last try yesterday lasted longer, but I still only managed to dent their health by like 7ish percent and died taking only one lackey down X_x
Leveling up is good. Allocating points in a strategic way is also good.
Most players create certain builds out of their party pets. Trying to allocate all the points equally across 3-4 stats doesn't prove as effective, at least on this game, I think. The center pet in battles will always be targeted, for instance, so players build a "tank" pet that mainly has HP and Agility stat'd, so they can absorb attacks. The side pet is built to be a "cannon" and has close to pure strength or close to pure intelligence, to put out more damage.
And I see you found the base changer lol.

Anywho yeah that's something that hit me just now when I realized I had my avatar on boy setting and changed it to girl only to find her pants becoming a skirt.
I need to throw this out here, just once. Am I /really/ the only person that sees the avatars as sexless? I mean, just because an avi wears pants does not make it male. Your avi is a good example of this. I am of the opinion that its not boy vs girl avatar base, but style A vs style B. I mean... I know guys that wear what some of these outfits consider skirts, and I see not a thing wrong with this.
I mean, its not like the girl avi has visible breasts (at least with /most/ of the non basic outfits) and an indent above the hips, two things that are male vs female body type oriented. Nor does the guy have anything resembling male features.
That's my two cents on the matter... please feel free to disagree :3
Sincerely
- Someone who hates sex stereotypes.
PS. As a note. I wear the female version of the festival outfit because I like the way it looks, not because I'm female.
