I have a lesser pet dye but I'm not sure how to send items to other players...

Sure, There is a small envolope with a pointing arrow on it under the inventory squares. Click the item you want to send someone then click the envolope and put it the name of the person you want to send it to (i. e. Kestral) Then click send. I will set the pet for you.
