Amalthea blinked, "I don't suppose I have, since I've spent basically my whole life avoiding your kind. You know, you really should have asked if I knew anything before threatening my life." She said irritably, "Unfortunately, I have no idea... I thought living this far out in the mountains would have deterred you people from finding me... Besides, I dont eat meat. So, since I'm certianly not the one you're looking for, can you kindly leave? I'll even take you to the bottom of the cliff if it will get you to go away. Besides, I doubt I'm old enough to have even done that anyway. In fact, I'm probably not much older than you, if at all."

"How strange..." He must have suddenly gotten full of himself, because he stepped away from hiding into clear view. "So you talk to me, and offer me a ride? I'd have to be stupid not to believe you, considering this is a first for a drake such as yourself in all your majesty-" He spoke with sarcasm, then continued, "-would humble me so." He sat on the ground. "What is your name, beast?" Like a sign of peace, he took off his helmet and set it next to him. He was dashing as far as humans go but for a dragon, he would seem rather ugly. "That is, if you're willing to tell me."

"I really don't appreciate your tone. If you want to know my name, perhaps you should try using a little something called manners." She said irritably, "Is this how you treat all dragons? Because that's a really good way to anger a dragon." She moved her tail to gently nudge his helmet into him. "Unless you plan on coming back up here to get your stuff, don't get cozy. I have to take Miia down to graze. We can talk down on the ground or you'll have to wait up here, leaving your weapon out of reach until I get back."

His eyes widened, even more surprised by her response. He put his helmet back on and stood, dusted off his armor, then bowed slightly, head down. "Then it is my most humble honor to be in your presence, Strange Wyrm of the Mountain." He wasn't exactly sure where he was taking this but he was certainly intrigued by her behavior. "I would greatly enjoy going along. Its interesting to me that a dragon would keep a yew." He eyed her warily, but kept his tone calm and cool.

"Well, it's not like I consider her food. I only eat minerals and gems." She said, coiling her tail around him and picking him up as she gently picked the yew up in her mouth, earning an annoyed bleat from the old sheep as she did so. Both passengers secured- as she did not trust this human enough to let him anywhere near her wings, neck, or head and she needed her claws to climb, he was stuck dealing with her carrying him with her tail. At least she was considerate enough to keep his head up and not bump him into anything during her climb down.
Once on the grass she set him on the ground and gently placed the yew on the grass, before padding over to her sheep pen and letting them out as well. While she liked spending the night with her first pet, she usually let them graze together during the day, as long as she doesn't have to run all around the forest chasing after them after a late night escape.
Laying down in a sunny spot she watched the sheep and the human, "So... Is there a reason why, if you're looking for answers, that you threatened me first before you mentioned your question? You can't get any answers form a dead or angry dragon... Or anything, really..."

"Thank you for the ride." He saluted in appreciation. "And the only real reason is habit. If I didn't make the approach, then I'd be left with a scar that will never heal. Thats what I learned after my first encounter, ha-" He laughed half-heartedly. "Turns out most of your kind aren't friendly to humans no matter how they present themselves. But I can see why- humans have laid waste to so many dragons and their homes that there are hardly any drakes left." He settled himself on a nearby rock and folded his arms. "I felt sorry for the dragons' heads I took. Sure, the first I killed was for revenge. But the next- no."

Amalthea nodded, "I guess it's a relief that you're not after me for my hide or treasure... Especially the latter. I learned that it's not safe to have piles of precious metals or gems... So, you've yet to find the dragon that attacked your home? I suppose you don't know what kind it was either, huh?" She asked, her tail snaking out to usher one of the sheep back towards the others and away from the trees. She supposed she was one of the odder dragons in that she chose to hide away from humans instead of taking her anger, hatred, fear, whatever out on them. She liked living in peace and quiet... It got a little lonely and rather boring at time, but it was safe... "What do you plan to do now?" She asked him, curious. She still didn't trust him, but she'd like to think that he might just leave without taking her life as well.

"The only thing I remember of the dragon is that it burned down my home and people, and...ate whatever lived afterward. Other things I remember I can't bear to mention." He ran a hand over his forehead, as if to distract himself. He shifted how he was sitting. "I assume you don't know anything about a dragon who makes a habit out of that? I've heard of many other cases of knights or soldiers finding villages decimated like mine but never a survivor or book or dragon who knows more about that beast." The young knight grumbled to himself, chastising himself for not finding out anything sooner.

"Not really. I don't know much about other dragons outside basic knowledge. I know there are some dragons that like to eat humans and cause chaos, but they usually prefer to leave most of the population alive so that they can make money for the dragon to take... I don't suppose it leaves much of a trail outside of ghost towns, huh?" She asked, lifting a paw to scratch behind an ear. "By secluding myself from others, I also don't really deal much with my own kind, so I'm out of the loop when it comes to things like that."
