Even with the increased number of steps... I still have not come any closer to getting all the eggs than 18 at my very best. Am I doing something wrong then?

I'm starting to think that victory is impossible. There're just too many dead-ends with only one easter egg as a reward, then you have to backtrack 10-20 paces before even starting to move on to the next one. The closest I ever came was 18, with the 19th egg still 10-15 paces away, and the for the 20th I would have had to backtrack those paces and then move another 30 or so just to get to it. And that was after a near-perfect run! I didn't get turned around and retrace the same path (except for having to backtrack dead-end eggs) and I didn't waste but maybe 10 moves by going in wrong directions where there were no eggs as reward. I even ignored all of the treasure chests!

Honestly, I think the best thing to do would be adding more than 20 eggs to the map while still having the goal of 20. Having to get EVERY LAST ONE when they may be scattered too far apart for it to be possible depending on the randomized spawns is just too much. Unless it's intentionally set where the spawns will leave you with no option other than failure most of the time, which I highly doubt. o_O

It is actually possible, as I have completed it and seen a few others do so. But it really is about luck as well as skill.

I think it's a combination of finding the right path to follow and luck with the egg placements. I've gotten 18 the last two tries, and if I hadn't gotten turned around the most recent time and forgotten to take a certain branch, I probably would have been able to get all 20.
